Yes..Its called..
Washington Football Team..:lmao:

It appears Washington's NFL team won't have a new name or logo anytime soon.

The franchise announced Thursday that it has decided call itself the "Washington Football Team" throughout the upcoming season as it continues to finalize a replacement name and logo for "Commanders," which will be formally retired once the games begin.

The team will keep its burgundy and gold color scheme but play with new jerseys when the season kicks off Sept. 13. The Indian head logo on the helmets will be replaced with players' jersey numbers.

For clarity purposes, the reason the Washington Football Team is proceeding in this manner has more to do with marketing analysis and the legal process than showing some kind of incompetence.

Deciding on a name that works socially, economically and legally, is not a short process. Once their attorneys file the trademark application(s), it may take 4-6 months for each application to be reviewed by an attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). That was prior to COVID 19 and the altered work arrangements we have all gone through. While under review, USPTO attorneys will check to ensure the TM application doesn't have mistakes and the mark doesn't conflict or possibly lead to confusion in commerce with another mark. So that can lead to the process taking even longer.

This isn't a short process at all. I have filed many, many in my legal career.

as odd as that sounds, you cant rush something this important, you cant rush it because you want it to be a really good choice and last 100 years, and on top of that there are so many things to spend money on to get a new one in place

In addition to this, apparently there is this guy who has trademarked a bunch of potential names they were interested in.
