A probable reason Jerry refuses to "go for it" by trading for a 24 year old All Pro like Jamal Adams is when he supposedly did the same with Roy Williams.

When Romo was injured and his genius OC didnt even close to have the capability to incorporate Williams into the offense in any kind of creative way.

One disaster influencing the next. The common denominator is Jerry insisting he has a clue. He doesnt. Neither does his kid.

Jerry on Entourage saying "I'm grooming my son to be the GM of the Cowboys...."

I'm like.....yeah well WHO is gonna teach YOU.

No one has EVER bought a team and decided to run it and has had success. At what point is it called a failure?

Yup, poor lil Dink Kearney. Another one with “skin in the game”.....as the saying goes

They take it as a personal affront when its really all about business. Today’s agenda driven media

So is it they are NOW making it about business? Because where was this when Zeke and co. took them to the cleaners? Or when Lawrence did it? Or when Cooper did it just this offseason? You guys are letting your hate for Dak cloud your judgement. This isn't someone "meaning business" this is incompetence at its finest. The same incompetence that's been on display for the past 20 years.

The Dallas Cowboys did not sign Dak Prescott to a long-term contract because of Stephen Jones' stubbornness. As expected with the Dallas Cowboys, they made...

Yeah some people who don't like Dak are the ones excited but if people put their biases aside.......its troubling that they just spent all that money on Lawrence, Zeke and Cooper but got cheap with Dak who has been better and more consistent than all of them. I'm fearful they have no idea what the they are doing. Contrary to popular belief I don't think this Dak deal was suppose to end up with him being franchised. I Think incompetence played a part in this.
Stephen wasn't cheap with dak. Dak's demands were excessive and would have further hurt the team by restricting their ability to spread out his cap hit over 5 years vs 4. Dak was unwilling to make any concessions.

They should have never caved to Zeke, but at least he’s a real talent

Caving to Dakota would have been doubling down on bad business moves. The bleeding was finally stopped

There doesnt seem to be any plan.

I moaned about this weeks ago.

Hardball sometimes, cave others...

It's just a sequence of individual events, mostly reactionary.

No actual plan or direction. THATS what they cant see.

Some real truth there!

Call it whatever you want. That's even worse. He wasn't "cheap" he just didn't want to give him 4 years because he wanted to use his contract in order to give the team some flexibility with the cap. NEWS FLASH! How about don't sign Zeke...that would've saved you some money.......which is my point. None of these moves are consistent or make any sense.

YEah we're doing so well with Stephen the new sheriff in town..........

We let Byron walk because we needed the money to sign Dak? What type of sense does that even make?
That's first grade level stuff. I can't dumb it down any more than that or the pie chart. If you can't understand something that simple i can't help you.

Don't forget arrogance and stubbornness as well.

'He'll take whatever we offer' was the Jones' attitude.

This post makes no sense. They wanted to sign him. Why wouldn't they? Just weren't going carte blanche on the deal.

Right......

And this also brings me to the Earl Thomas and Jamal Adams situations......what in the hell is that even about? They offered a 1st for Adams and didn't revisit the move? Granted, I'm more disturbed they offered a 1st for a strong safety to begin with but if you felt he was worth that last offseason why didn't you revisit it in the offseason?

They toy with us the addition of Earl Thomas just for them to not offer anything of substance.

If we sit back and push our biases to the side? The only positive is they hired McCarthy. But that's a reflection of how up and down this organization has been. They'll take steps forward be picking up McCarthy just to botch the Dak situation.

Nobody was mad at Jerry for being "reckless"...we were mad at him for being stupid. Trading a 1st and 3rd for Roy Williams...trading #1's for Joey Galloway.....just stupid. Him signing bad contracts never had a issue with.
That’s a blatant falsehood.

They overpaid for Zeke and Coop due to the ineptness of our QB.
And does that not sound stupid to you? Is it not stupid to invest 5 years into a "inept" QB? But you don't care...you clearly aren't a real Cowboy fan anyway and just enjoy this ineptitude from this organization.
