Lol. Just stop.
Dak is not better than Rodgers and i will say will never be better. Lets just stop this nonsense.
If it wasn't for Mahomes showing up, Rodgers were considered the most gifted passer of this generation.
I never really saw Prime Marino even though I am in my very early 40's. But its Marino, Mahomes, Rodgers , then guys like Favre, Vick, maybe Cunningham with this crazy arm talent. Yes I know I am missing some guys[/QUOT

you may be right that Dak at his pinnacle may never be what Rodgers was at his, but to say right now Dak doesn't hold a candle to him in ability...again if it was so easy to do the passing stats Dak did last season why hasn't everyone done it? No doubt Rodgers 2011 season was amazing on all levels... but the last couple years, just like Brady Father time skips no man.

Well his family members let it be known how much of a good person he is. And as a player he's getting worse year in and out. He's living on his past accomplishments. Granted, he's still one of the better quarterbacks in the league I'm speaking strictly on giving him #12. He doesn't deserve it. Give him #9.

that's why i was trying to stay away from those topics & only speak to his talent. I would disagree as to his talent declining. If you haven't checked out the top 50 passes of 2019 video, maybe take a look. I believe he has 7 of them & Wilson has 6.

There are only a handful of passes that stick in my head as OMG moments from last year but one is in the playoffs (pretty sure about that. it was definitely late in the year) he is being chased backwards and he flicks a pass a good 30 - 40 yards right over the shoulder of a receiver with defenders around. It wasn't a lob pass either. Not a laser but with a relatively flat trajectory & pace to get there before the defense. You are only talking a handful of players in history who have the arm talent to make the throw while retreating and I don't know that i would bet on any of them to have the accuracy to do it. This one wasn't even on the top 50 video. No matter how you feel about the guy, it was an other worldly throw and he does those type things regularly.

I doubt it’d happen but it would be so weird to see him in a cowboy uniform. The cowboys would probably still not be able to win with him on the field.

If Dak is asking for crazy money and Jerry let's him walk, we can trade for Rodgers. Would you be ok with him wearing number 12????

I have no clue what he is truly like as a person but as a player he is sublime. Absolutely off the charts phenomenal. There should be no doubt in anyone's mind about that.
No he's not. There should be no doubt that he is 2nd tier great, not in the same convo as PManning and Brady.

That video is heavily biased to Rodgers and Russell. Mahomes and Deshaun had a few they could've put in there. They didn't even put the Wentz throw in that video or the Watson throw from the playoffs. Dak in Minnesota had a few throws that should've been in there too.

But I'm not saying Rodgers can't throw. He can. He's simply not the player he once was. And if we did get rid of Dak I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in. If he'd want to anyway.

If it every happens I am sure Roger would personally deliver him the number 12.
Greats like Roger usually dont care about stuff like this, us fans do.
I'm not saying Roger cares. As a Cowboy fan its disrespectful. I think giving everyone #88 is just as disrespectful but that doesn't stop Jerry either so.....

yes why not.
BTW, I wanted Aaron Rodgers here after draft night. I was killed on my thread post. I wish there was a way to link back old conversations.
Would take Roders over Dak any day of the week. These weapons he would be MVP again. This teams offensive weapons remind me of Manning going to Denver and throwing 55 TD passes in 2013 his second year there.
If the Cowboys underachieve this year heads should roll at QB and o-coordinator at the minimum. Go get a stud qb.
If you really remember that long, and it's still that important to you, you really really need to drink more.

If it was a choice between Dak and Rodgers quarterbacking this team this year alone, I'd certainly prefer Rodgers, and it really isn't a tough decision......but that's not going to happen so I hope Dak can develop into a top notch Quarterback this year while working with McCarthy and if the team goes deep into the playoffs and Dak proves he's the long term answer, then I'd have no problem giving him a long term deal, but this is a make or break season for Dak, it's all on him!!

The point I am trying to make is if you have a great QB and great weapons you can be in the mix for a SB berth every year.
We have not had a championship game since January 1996. Please post that on your mirror eveyone.
Understood but it surely wasn't Romo or Dak's fault we haven't been to the Super Bowl. Quarterback hasn't been the issue.
