“I look forward to working along Coach McCarthy, the staff, and my teammates to be the best team we can be in pursuit to our goal of a Super Bowl.” As long as Dak is the QB number 1 of the Cowboys "pursuit" is what it will be year in and year out. Enjoyed both your posts but what is SJ suppose to say. Same goes for Dak. I expected Dak to be signed and still believe Jerry and Stephen will grossly over pay a mid tier starter that will always be in pursuit of the super bowl and never getting there.

Stephen, when it is truly your turn......please hire a GM.

Don't ever come to the conclusion that simply being in your management position for all these years qualifies you in any way. You didn't possess any credentials to earn the job, You have demonstrated no real ability for recognizing and analyzing coaching and player talent. You have never been held accountable for the seasons of poor performance,

Hire a GM, don't simply extend the incompetence past the end of my time. Twenty five seasons have been more than enough.

Sounds like Cheapskate Son is waiting on the teams success to validate Daks value much like many fans.

I suspected it was all about the public perception .

This would be the conclusion if only reading the headline, but Dak creating more value if he plays well this year was not the central focus, plus we have to remember that in an interview he is just responding to questions that are asked.

As for the interview being about public perception, of course that’s true. That’s pretty much the purpose of any interview they agree to. And that’s not unique among NFL teams, although it happens more with the Jerry and Stephen than with other teams because they are both ownership and management, and because Jerry believes all news adds value to his investment.

sure and i bet the DC FO would pay him more and a deal at 4yars..lime 38 over 4 w/120 guaranteed..

however, would Dak see 4 years now waiting a year after turning down 5 and getting 31.4 this year not be acceptable as its like 5 years and close to what he was already offered??

how far does he take his resentment?

According to this interview Dak isn’t showing resentment and the Jones family isn’t feeling resentment.

im talking about his demands next year will he look at this years 31.4 the first year of a 5yr deal as the jones want it if they offer him a 4yr deal in the range of 38 or so 120 guaranteed, will he say NO, Mahomes money or nothing..what IF 40s not enough?

dont even get it twisted down deep like his Brother said frustration has set in even if its not going to effect his play or attitude, contract negotiations are different..

So, you didn’t say “how far will he carry this resentment” you actually said “how far will he carry the resentment he doesn’t have now but will have next year”, and the website just omitted some words?

because it does exist way down deep, you in his head anymore then i am? his brother responses tell the story, they talk, they are frustrated and feel slighted, i was clear he has resentment but not externally but come back to the table after the seaosn.it will bubble back onto the surface..

so in the Hypothetical article about winning a SB, how much would Jerry be willing to pay Dak and how much will Daks demands go up? where do these negotiations go after a SB winning season? i know fans would no longer care as much but Jerry/Stephen?

so it was that he is resentful, and when I mentioned Stephen indicated Dak showed no resentment you said you were talking about next year not this year, and when it was pointed out it doesn’t make sense to claim he isn’t resntful this year but he will be next year you are back to saying he is resentful mow despite what Stephen said.

and no, I’m not in Dak’s head any more than you are, but I’m not claiming to be. You are.

in the absence of an external show of resentment, which you admitted yourself Dak hasn’t done, and in the absence of those who resentment would be directed at saying they saw any sign of it, that just leaves you claiming you know Dak’s head and heart.

I wasn’t referring to the interview being about public perception .
