Dak's contract isn't like others that have been paid!

Anyone tired of watching all of these analysts, especially Stephen A, talk about how Jerry and Stephen have paid Jaylon, Lawrence, and Zeke but just won't pay Dak? They go on and on about Romo would have been paid and yata yata yata. Do they not realize that Dak's contract is much larger and takes up a larger portion of the Salary cap due to guaranteed money. This is not counting the fact that he just wanted more money and they couldn't come to an agreement. Am I right in thinking that comparing Daks' contract to the others is completely different?

No the difference is those guys all played ball and signed the long deal. Romo signed two separate 6 year deals, Zeke signed a 6 year deal, Ware signed a 6 year deal, Jaylon and D-Law signed 5 year deals, etc. I don’t begrudge Dak at for handling his business in the most profitable manner (in fact I’m happy he did since it will almost certainly send him elsewhere) but all he had to do to get paid was “play ball” with the Jones way of deal making.

The Dallas Cowboys pay their top players like top players on a Super Bowl team. Now we need to get a return for all those dollars being handed out.

truth worse i hear SAS and others act as if Dak wasnt offered deals, somehow offered deals that were in poor taste, seriously wake the F up people dak turned the deals down. dak and his agents rejected very good deals..

yesterday that made me yell at the Tv when they cited all the other deals that got done before dak, as if Jerry and stephen dont respect dak and low balled him, really? low balled? a deal worth about twice as much as Romos?

they all signed TEAM FRIOENDLY DEALS AND DIDNT PLAY HARDBALL WITH A EGOCENTRIC AGENT..ITS WHY DAKS LAST.. ITS PRODUCT OF HE AND HIS AGENTS GIANT EGO..

Jerry and Stephen pout more then fair deals out there, Romo took his and didnt as for shorter deals, took fair deal and knew more would come, daks asking like this is the last deal he will every get and not sure enough about himself that in 3 years he will accomplish so much Jerry would come to him with a new offer..

this IMHO is all on Dak and his agents not jerry deals have been presented numerous times and well been rejected..

He will be signed at the end of season. When they found a deal Dak wanted to get done, they know the structure of what he wants. Will make it easier. And Daks agent knows that SJ and JJ aren’t caving for that much. They offered him more than other teams will pay him.

Just let him go out in the free market.

He will wake up.

If predictions are correct about profits being lost now..

Dak will never beat the deal Dallas wants with him.

No other team has the desire to do what the Jones's have committed to build a team around Dak.

Let him find this out.

And if a team does step up..we can wish Dak good luck.

Yeh and dumb jerry should have learned to not sign a 6 year deal. That 6 year romo deal cost us 20m in dead money and was a big reason we couldn't sign big time free agents even with dak getting paid 600k a year. And of course the jones' expect their players to be good ole boys then he will reward them. Man that reminds me of something I just can't put my finger on it.

They do, they just don't care because they are driving a narrative.

So lets assume you agree Dak has been a winning QB..... and you agree there are at least 15 teams that wont be starting a winning QB first game of the year next season....now your the GM of a real football Franchise and your job is on the line....Dak goes 10-6 or whatever you think and we get bounce in the divisional round again.....You really think that not one of those teams with a losing QB and a GM whose head is on the line wont offer him more than Dallas?..... this is a real thing when you let your Winning QB hit the Market in today's NFL your negotiations just went south...I don't think he will be the one surprised at how many offers he gets

It is what it is. Sucks that they couldn’t reach a deal but I don’t begrudge either side.

If Dak wanted to sign a long-term deal badly enough, he would’ve signed the offer that was on the table. If the Cowboys wanted Dak signed badly enough, they would’ve given him the 4-year deal he wanted. Neither side budged enough to get it done.

The analysts are irrelevant, especially in August. Who cares what they say?

Would prefer to keep him if possible. I just have a feeling he will be really good here. Better than what we can get elsewhere. At least for 4 years or so. But yes, if his agent wants to still play hard ball then make the final offer and let him go look around. If he comes back it will cause possible hard feelings though.

Couldn't they sign a deal today. With him playing under the Franchise tag this year with 4 new years and SB, with a wink and a smile, with guarantees being lower. In essence it is 1+4 contract with fungibility in the guarantees.

They aren’t allowed to start negotiations again until the end of the football season. I have no idea why. But I guess that’s the rules...

Dak will get offers.

Of course he will.

But let's see what they are.

Right now..we are blindly betting against ourselves for his services.

Mahomes has set the high mark now and others will follow. But Mahomes has already won an MVP and a Ring.

So that validates him but Dak has not done that.

He might but until he does, we need to move just like we have.

The FO has had a plan. Keep working the plan until it's clear it must be changed.

That's all I want to see.

The biggest problem with analysis is those doing the analysis haven’t seen the offer or what Dak wanted
