Quite honestly, technique and fundamentals are the same in Texas HS football and above. Anyone with half a brain can see those things. I stopped given many opinions around here and became more of a jokester because people like him would always say I didn't know crap.

you know my cowboy brother That’s one of the reasons why I instantly respected your opinion. From the first post I read of yours. You could give a crap what anybody thinks.

Culture of the locker room more than once I try to explain how important that was. It’s just too deep for some of these people. 80% are armchair quarterbacks. Not a clue in hell what real football is

Methodical football dink and dunk control the clock control the game win it in the fourth quarter . Nope everybody wanted 400 yard passing games. Jason Garrett must’ve been listening. Because we change the scheme proved we could do it but we lost our identity and we sucked. Plain and simple . I would love to see what Mahomes would’ve done starting every drive inside is on 20 yard line. We had the worst special teams in the league we started one drive on the opponents side of the field last season. What are these people thinking of. Believe and watch the game or they just drink and bull**** while it’s on

I will wait and see Dak with a new offensive minded coach like McCarthy before I judge him. Red was a problem for his growth

I totally agree my cowboy brother. It’s hard to evaluate anyone on this team under Jason Garrett. I am not a huge McCarthy fan but I’ll wait and see

Being a former high school football coach hardly qualifies you as a professional football expert. I'm an aircraft engineer because when I was a child I built a model airplane...
It just shows how much you don’t understand the game. It comes down to fundamentals. Then you started in peewee football. On freaking believable

Don’t you understand it’s about the basics . Aerodynamics they don’t change.I guess you never watch the movie with the airplane went down and it does it in the model builder . What is the one that designed the plane and flew through them out Sorry I just can’t stand the ignorance anymore

If you're writing it, I doubt it's "too deep" for most on here. You sure love tootin' your own horn,

I don't think team record is the end-all of QB stats but I think it's interesting to look at. I couldn't find a list of QBs vs playoff teams but Wins vs Winning Teams is pretty interesting too. There are five current NFL quarterbacks with winning records against teams above .500: Brady (70-40), Wilson (26-21), Roethlisberger (51-39), Garoppolo (4-2) and Mariota (12-11). Wentz is 9-14, Goff is 10-10, Rodgers is 32-39-1. Mahomes, 3-4. Dak? 11-11. Looking at Brady, Wilson and Big Ben I get it, but is Garoppolo "elite" because he's 4-2? Small sample size but he has "led his team" to a SB. Then there's Mariota: exception to every rule?

I love my Cowboys. I bleed blue and silver. I loved Dak from day one but it has really rubbed me the wrong way how he's played contract hardball. He's my QB now though and I'll be rooting for him with all the blood, sweat and tears in my pizza and beer body. I don't know if his record against playoff teams means anything or not but I'm hoping MM makes a difference, that what we've seen out of Dak so far has been despite coaching and that he has a full year that answers beyond doubt all the questions we scream at each other over on this board.

Can someone post Garrett's record against winning teams? I didn't bother researching the last 9 games or so of the Garrett era but 25-43 prior to isn't very impressive. So is Dak's record really an indication of him, or a reflection on the overall team's readiness by the coaching staff? I guess we'll find out with Dak under a new coach, but I doubt its all on Dak.

Everything he said is exactly right. This year we find out about Dak.

Last year was built on steamrolling absolutely horrible teams....the Commanders and Giants twice, plus the Dolphins. The only wow game was against the Rams, who didn't make the playoffs. The Cowboys blew the easiest division in football.

Other than that, they were 2-8 and struggled on offense mightily.

I don’t know the answer to your question. But I totally agree that that’s where it begins is with the coach. Does he have control of the locker room can you control the personalities. It’s up to him to beat teams win a Winning record more so than the players did you put the rates came in place
