I can't wait to see what McCarthy has to say after Dak gets rushed and throws an interception off his back foot. And it's a big game on the road.
Since when have INTs ever been a big pzroblem for Dak, whether throwing off his back foot or not?

So they are changing the terminology? I thought Moore was the play caller. What does that mean?

When Jerry went with Linehan, he said one of the main reasons is because the terminology stays the same.

Well he had 13 in 2017 and 4 of the. returned for TDs in that same season with one game to go...

So you picked his worst season out of 4, it was 3 years ago, and while more than ideal still not an exceptionally high number of INTs. There were 19 QBs that had double digit INTs that season.

I know Big Mike is the new squeaky toy and all, but how refreshing is it to watch our head coach in a press conference put away the cheese wiz for a while and actually be genuinely relatable?

I can see Big Mike getting further with this group of players than Garrett did for certain....

And for the guy that said he couldn't wait to hear what Big Mike says after dak throws his first interception off his back foot I've got a simple answer for you. He will say them same thing that he said to Aaron Rogers and any other Qb he has coached whom has done that before..

They were clearly a problem in 2017 and he had 4 INTs returned for TDs, so I’m not sure what your point is about other QBs having problems with double digit INTs. He also threw the ball less than other QBs and that was the season he wasn’t stacked with all-pros at every position, when Zeke missed six games and Smith was suspended.

And the next year, when he wasn’t throwing INTs, he was fumbling the ball and getting sacked a league leading, 56 times with PFF attributing close to 40% to him.

Mmm... food for thought. What happened the next year?

17th in red zone scoring overall and 22nd on the road, despite being number 1 in passing yards. He threw only 8 INTs, but he was also sacked only 23 times despite being second in the league in passing attempts. Padded stats in blowouts and when he threw over 40 times, they were 1 and 7. Not a single win when down at halftime.

I caught that too. I thought they were changing the plays but using the terminology from Moore.

Now I’m more interested, because that would be major news if they are changing the offense. The rest is just standard coach speak, but it’s way more refreshing not having Garrett around.

I’ve heard all along that Moore would call the plays, but it would be with Mikes concepts. He didn’t want to change terminology this season so they could all grasp it quickly. When we retained Moore originally I assumed it was to call the JG offense which I wasn’t happy about. But everything I’ve heard since is that it will be Mikes playbook, with the same terms they’ve been using for year.

Having said that, changing the terminology with a new team during Covid might be overwhelming if that’s truly the case!

Most teams take years to learn WCO concepts.
