Basically break even...don’t know that I have an issue with that.

That's without Dak's $38M if they were to tag him again.

The Cowboys would be $36M over the cap at that point.

Or look at like this, the 2021 Cowboys have $2M in cap room and the only QB they'll have under contract is 2020 7th round pick Ben DiNucci.

Teams like NO, PHI, ATL, and PIT will all be going for it this year, because next year there will be some serious roster restructuring.

I think Brees and Ben retire.

Philadelphia will be an empty shell and Atlanta may have to look at what to do with Ryan and Julio.

This will be Carr's last year with Oakland(not LV).

The QB market next year is going to be crazy.

Spotrac has the Cowboys at 183 million going into 2021. That's also not counting Dak.

I saw an article that had Dallas restructuring many deals, Lawrence, Smith, Cooper, Elliott, and others that gave Dallas enough space to sign their own free agents, but very little else.

You could say it right now, Dallas will not be players in free agency in 2021.

Agreed, we will see a ton of restructures, and not just in Dallas, league wide.

I'm sure Stephen will use it as an excuse on why he sits out free agency or only signs bargain players.

They never are big players anyway, so this does not concern me. Keep their own that they want to keep, and draft well.

Why would they get rid of Carr? He's basically a cheap QB for the next 3 years. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that they'd be foolish to do that IMO.

Yeah Atlanta is in trouble. Ryan's cap hit skyrockets. They can't cut either Jones or Ryan, so the only thing possible are restructures. But that's still going to be really hard to do with Ryan.

100% ......not sure how fans can't see it. I mean other than Brandon Carr, we haven't signed a big-time free agent in over 10 years. Sure, we've taken prove-it deals on a few players but that's about it.

One word.......Gruden
He and GM have been fairly candid about upgrading the position if the opportunity arise ( their words ).

Dak won't be on the team and that aren't going to franchise him again. Most likely go after someone in the draft

Please explain #2.........

The Eagles are an older team that has been paying big money to free agents instead of building through the draft like Dallas has. Dallas will let a Byron Jones walk, the Eagles will pay for one.

For 2021 Philly has 12 players with a cap hit over 10 Million, plus Jason Kelce at 8.5. They have big money contracts with guys like Fletcher Cox (22.5MM) but are paying big money to Darius Slay(15.7MM), Jason Hargrave (15.2MM), Malik Jackson (13.6MM) and they won't pay it but DeSean Jackson is schedule to make 11 Million.

And all of that is before you look at the Cap Hit for Carson Wentz of 34.6 Million HAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Good think Jalen Hurts will only make 2.5 Million !

Spotrac has the Eagles at 272 million for 2021. My math says they'll be 97 million over the cap if it drops to 175M. I realize the blog in the OP says they're counting carry over. But 30 million?

Cowboys NFCCG appearances since 1995: 0
Eagles NFCCG appearances since 1995: 6

I'm not suggesting we throw tons of money around like the Eagles have, but let's not pretend we've had a better approach to roster building the past quarter century.

I always use Sportrac also, I just looked at OvertheCap and they list 50 million over. No matter what, some of those veterans on the Eagles team are going to get cut or restructured down.

Well as they said in the movie Major League: There is only one thing to do andthat is to win the whole f thing.

Or we tank for Trevor.

I’ll take the first option though.
