I think it was more than just Jerry in the organization wanting to take Lamb. He was rated so highly by this franchise (really by almost everyone) that there were many pushing to take CeeDee once he inexplicably fell to 17.

And I bet there were quite a few guys in that Dallas front office that liked taking the best WR in that draft right out from under the very WR needy Eagles.

But you’re right though, you know Jerry loved taking him.

And of course Philly was like: “We wanted Reagor anyway” lol.
Oh I agree. I don't think this is a situation where Jerry had to talk guys into taking him. Factor in that there really was no one worth taking there except maybe Chaisson who most felt wasn't ready to contribute.

And I think Reagor is a good player but Eagles trying to convince their fans that he's on the same level as Lamb as a prospect is insane.

HAHAHAHAHA - and to think the Eagles tried to trade up with the Falcons at #16 to get him........i will be laughing at that for the next 10 years...... HAHAHAHAHA
Yeah..

But didn't the Iggles in last year's draft trade up right before our pick and take a TE we were looking at to replace Witten?

Can't remember his name but he went on to help them a good bit when they lost so many of their receivers towards the end of the season.

So they were successful doing it before..why not again.?

Thank goodness we were not asleep at the switch when Lamb showed up.

I know all of us were at home watching with fingers crossed saying...

"Now Jerrah.. don't screw this up..pick the receiver..".

If Maranelli and Tomsula can't get anything out of Hill.....that's going to be his career right there.

DL almost always improve in their second year, there are a million examples of that. And Hill has above average athleticism, he definitely could end up as a quality rotational guy not matter what happened last year.

If hill is a rotational jag it will always be a bad pick compared to thornhill who everyone wanted

Yes there were lots of reports during and after the draft that the Eagles were trying to jump the Cowboys at #17 to get Ceedee Lamb. The Falcons at #16 agreed to trade back for the Eagles 1st and 2nd round picks. The Eagles wouldn’t trade their 2nd round pick because they were targeting Jalen Hurts with that pick. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
Thanks.
I can't imagine why I didn't remember this.
Maybe I was sleeping during the draft.

Gallup will be soon, and more.

Gallup is more of a big-game player. Amari rolls up scrubs and disappears against good defenses. Always has.
I think Gallup could become a number 1 but never said it on here...until now

This is true which pissed off eagles fans even more because it was the jalen hurts pick lol
And the prior draft Philly traded up in the first round to jump Houston to take OT Dillard, who doesn’t appear to be very good.

So Philly fans are like: “So we traded up for Dillard to keep him away from the Texans but couldn’t trade up for Lamb to keep him out of Dallas?”

People get too caught up in the "value" of waiting in a deep draft, I say if a player is there that shouldnt be, you draft them if you can.
GB did nothing to help ARod, not even late.
Sometimes you totally miss an entire positional group, even in a draft deep at that position..lol

This entire draft played out beautifully.
Its rare to watch a draft unfold with good players at positions of need throughout an entire draft.

Omg dude let it go. You’re so predictable. How many one handed grabs did Romo force dez into making. Just stop.
What's funny is the one he is quoting is the only one that said it was high. Slater and others said it was a back shoulder throw.

He also said Smith picked him off and that's inaccurate as well. These dudes have a problem with reading comprehension, especially when they quote someone and still get it wrong.

I can remember a time when the defense could have a good day in camp and everyone would rejoice, then the offense the next day and everyone would rejoice once again.
We are only practicing against ourselves in camp this season, but somebody has to be the scapegoat still...lol
