Wow, that is disgusting. Also, it proves my point. I'm hopeful that Dak is a strong as Duncan.
Thanks Corso.
Lol... I would have socked that dude and that would have played right into his hands!
It takes strength to admit vulnerability. It takes strength to overcome adversaries willing to use it against you.

Third post on the topic and I don't get it.

I could care less what Skip says about
anything

Also could care less if he apologizes for anything he may have said.

You people listen to idiots and then get butt hurt
when they say something you don't like!

I guess the opposite end of the spectrum would be guys like Vince Young and
the Bills DB (Vonte Davis?) who retired at halftime... lol/smh

Poor Vince... I lived in Austin when he was at UT and I was a pretty (very) popular guy at the time. I got to know him.
If he was raised to be strong, that skin sloughed on the quick. He had cheat codes for much of his formative life and when those cheat codes left...

Poor Vince. I understand.

I will never forget the USC game. There's not many occasions where I jump out of
my seat while watching at home. That whole game had me jumping around in the
cave... lol

Kid was pure electricity in college. Watching him play was Joy itself.
I'm willing to bet @aria ran into him more than once in some capacity.

Actually, I never ran into Vince, I left Austin in the summer of 2001. I did run into Applewhite a few times while working security/bouncing, always seemed to have a few O linemen and floozies trailing behind.

Man, why did you have to bring up VY? Those were the days, you’re absolutely right, he was electric. One of the most fun college QB’s I’ve ever seen play.

I understand where Skip is coming from but you can't put the way you would do it on to others. Times have change. This is the last thing that you want to do is bottle it up or keep internal. You need to to talk about it so it does not eat at you and then it is too much to take and you take your own life. Also depression can be triggered at any time so Dak trigger could be at the beginning of the pandemic. A lot of us were home and we as human beings need that interaction with others. If this was going for more than 2 years than Dak might have Dysthymia. Skip did not really come out and apologize for his comments but he need to understand that people handle things differently.
Mixed up in all this is things like death of his mom and brother.

Isolation with the pandemic added to that is a toxic brew. Dak had to sort it out and was wise to ask for help.

Dealing with death is very different for each person. So you have to let people deal with it and offer help if they ask for it.

Dak did and that helps me to know he has the range to handle things.

I have alot more understanding of him now.

As a person and player we are blessed.

Hope he plays to his expectations and we all ok with that.

Should be enough for us all.

It was unnecessary and inappropriate for Skip to comment.

The football season is about to start surely they could have used the time more wisely like I don't know...preview a game!? It's supposed to be a sports discussion not Dr Hilary and what makes Skip qualified to advise on the subject!?

I suppose what's annoying is that Skip got what he wanted - everyone talking about him including me so that's the last I will post on the matter.

Am I bad for finding this whole thing slightly funny?

https://people.com/sports/skip-bayless-criticized-dak-prescott-depression-struggle/

On Friday morning, Bayless was back on the show, where he said his comments were "misconstrued."

“I want to reiterate some points I made about Dak Prescott and the depression he discussed,” he explained. “As I strongly stated, I have great compassion for anyone suffering from clinical depression, which is very real. If you are suffering from any form of depression, please seek help.”

He continued, "The only Dak depression I discussed on the show was from an interview he taped with Graham Bensinger. Dak said that depression hit soon after the pandemic hit, right after the quarantine. I said [Thursday] that if Dak needed help for pandemic depression, he should have sought it then."

Just an FYI

It's "couldn't" care less. What you said implies you care and it needs to be reduced.
