jrumann, I get your take. I see it a little different.

1) Sean took a lesser role and allowed Jaylon and LVE to be the main guys.
2) He has spent a lot of time mentoring the LBs and not kept everything to himself

I like Witten, but he was know for not be especially helpful to the younger TEs.

Just one man's opinion.
It was either Jarwin or Schultz who said Witten was always very helpful to the young TEs on the team. That "not helpful" narrative was started by Marty Bennett, and seems to be false.

Guess you forgot his injury has nothing to do with his neck.

Uh, how do you know his clavicle didn’t break, because of the neck? There are major muscles, such as the trapezius that attack to the vertebrae and clavicle.. He could have tried protecting his neck and curled up and his clavicle snapped...

Sure. Run with that if you want.

Clearly you don’t understand biomechanics... I guess Peyton Manning’s arm strength didn’t deteriorate that rapidly, because of his fused neck vertebrae, because you know, the arm is not the neck...

Pray tell how many degrees in bio-mechanics or medicine you have?

Also, we're not not taking about arm strength. Nice straw man though.

Starter until 2030. Only in Dallas; they will be bringing Witten back next year.

The chickens are coming home to roost. Bad culture. Bad contracts. Blind loyalty. It’s amazing how every year another sheet storm develops. How these idiots relied on Lee, Smith, and LVE to play one of the toughest positions is beyond me. 2 guys can’t hold up and the other guy prances around.

We have one of the worst GM’s in the league and his son, who only has the job because of nepotism running the organization.

In short we are screwed.

We're looking at a mid October return. A return to what? The specialist?

Relying on LVE with a fused vertebrae, let alone Lee, was asinine.. And then there is Smith.

We literally have the worst LB Corp in the NFL now. Any legit QB is going to have a field-day against this defense, unless somebody shows something. This is going to be mediocre Kitna exposing Brady James levels on a weekly basis it seems.
Offense will have to average 35.

If Dak can’t step up this week they should trade him to the eagles for Wentz and 3 1st round picks

Too good of a player to let go, but the team should not have banked on their primary guys in LVE and Smith. Lee can stay as long as he's super cheap but the two young guys were asking for trouble.
Nah. Cowboys need to trade him or cut him

Nobody should be surprised at this development.

He should never have been back for 2020. This is why this team will never win under Jones.

Ive read where some here want to call up Bernard. My Question is has anyone seen him play other then college? I dont think so. Every year there is a player that the media heads talk up and they dont even make the team.
I really felt that with LVE injury and with Lee's history we would have brought in more LB's like we did with DL. We were thin there to begin with but from what I understand with this defenses it has some 3/4 elements Not really sure this was the way to go but Im no expert. The Rams has showed the rest of the league how to handle this defense. Expect to see more of mis directions bootlegs bubble screens.
Jared Goff had a really great game he was throwing dimes to his receivers I give him props for that.
The offense needs to be on the field more and eat up the clock
We need a real TE also
