McCarthy did literally everything to blow this game. If not for Dak and Zuerleins Heroics almost everyone here would scream for his head. But Dallas Fans like to drink the Jerry Kool-Aid.

Going for it on 4th & 5 twice in your own half alone wins Dumbest Coach of the Season Award. Especially with these boneheaded plays they did.

Going for a 2 pt conversion early with a shuffle pass 7 yards behind the LOS, leaving your team 2 Pos behind with under 5 min to play.

Management of Timeouts

This Game was won by Dak Prescott and the Kicker. Dont get distracted from that.

Im not calling him worse than Jason Garrett, but in this game he couldnt have done more wrong. I give him this season because they didnt have Preseason and a real Offseason but if that **** gets regular i might be done with him rather sooner than later.

Meh, he has made some questionable decisions for sure, but, isn't it kind of nice to see at the same time? Everybody complained about Garrett's cookie-cutter ways and lack of balls to go for anything, and now that we have it, people are still complaining. lol

I'm not sticking up for MM. There were definitely some decisions I thought he made that were not great, but, this is what we all wanted. Change. Here it is.

dallas earned the chance to win by coming back and scoring a lot of 2nd half points, 30 points.
That said if I was the atlanta gm , hc or owner, I would fire the ST coach, and cut at least 2 of the ST players that didnt jump on the ball
before it went 10 yds. If they are that stupid, get rid of them.
Atlanta gave dallas the game on that onside kick, but dallas had earned the chance, and they did get in position for a short fg, not a long one.

Imagine how the falcon fans felt after that onside kick lol bet they are bummed out !
But it is a win and dallas did score some points, way more than I thought they could.
This game will give them some confidence, when they play seattle, and they will need that.

Dallas is the only team so far to have fans in stadium, which like announcers said helped motivate them, both boo's and cheers.
So give ol jerry some credit for that.
And the defense only allowed 10 2nd half points , which also helped give them the chance for the win.
Dallas won 2nd half, 30-10.

I agree with # 1, but # 2 someone pointed out it is better to go ahead and try for that 2 points, and if you dont get it, you can then be more aggressive
with what you do, knowing you need 2 scores.
Also the ATL HC messed up going for 2 way early at 26 points, and had he just kicked the extra point, Atlanta would have had 40 points and game
would have gone to OT.

2 games in....and I'm already ready to move on. Some of the dumbest decisions I can recall. I seriously don't know who is in charge. We should be 0-2. Not gonna say I miss Garrett...because change had to be made.....but come on man...this wasn't what I had in mind. There had to be over a dozen questionable decisions in this game.

Comments?
Vander Esch, Sean Lee, Blake Jarwin, Lael Collins, Travis Fredrick, Tyron Smith, Cam Erving, Anthony Brown, etc etc. Can we enjoy a win against a formidable team against all odds? They shouldn't have won today, but they fought thru adversity, and pulled it out. Plenty to work to do, and 14 games to go. This is not the same team. We have lots of ground to cover. As for the calls, specify the ones that bother you. Personally, I'm stoked to see a coach that dares to win, vs one that just tries not to lose.

Well Garrett beat the Rams and Atlanta the last time they met. He also had the team prepared so the games werent so dramatic. I really am starting to wonder if Garrett may be the better coach. I dont think we will know until after the season but the hiring of Nolan doesnt look good.

2 horrible 4th down calls. And an awful decision going for 2 point conversion too early leaving us 2 scores down.

If not for Falcons unbelievably not falling on onside kick we’d be reeling at 0-2.

We didn’t win this game. Atlanta gave it away.
Dallas actually gave the game to Atlanta in the first quarter and Atlanta evidently was too stupid to hold onto it.

When it comes to hate mongering they both are kindred spirits. Floating can be comical in his absurd posting, leeblair agitating.

Is this the original Floaty who was over on the Ranch? I remember him as funnier and more knowledgeable than this one.
And Lee Blair hasn’t changed other than he’s pickled a few more brain cells and talks even less sense.

Garrett philosophy was to not loose.
MM looks like he's coaching to win.
I prefer going for the win instead of being safe.

1000% .......this probably sums it up best. Jason coached to keep games close, hoping to win at the end.

I think McCarthy is willing to take chances that I would not take if it were my call to make. Outside of that he was able to rally the troops and pulled off the win.

I don’t see what changed? The OC still calls the plays. Did McCarty call the fake punts? Without the fake punts he’s way better then Garrett.

Please tell me what you like about this staff so far.

Last weeks 4th down try probably cost us that game.

The second fake punt was idiotic! Especially the play called.

The team was not ready to play today or last week.
While I am estatic about the win, I can't say you are wrong. That second fake yesterday was as predictable as they come.

I wanted McC or Rivera of the coaches available and the jury is out right now on McC.

He has had me second thinking why I wanted him because a first year HC doesn't make those mistakes.

Watching him yesterday got me to thinking about that year off and sitting at home. I flashed back on that argument he and Rodgers had on the sideline about the plays being called and he ended up the ultimate loser because he lost his job. And he has admitted he had to work through the bitterness he felt.

Is he trying to make a statement to his team or the NFL? My concerns about this team aren't on the field as much as on the sideline. It's not bad to keep the other coaching staff guessing but I am wondering if he has his own coaching staff guessing?

There is another side to this concerning the defense. Does he have such a low opinion of this defense that it's all on the offense and damn the torpedoes? His risky decision making makes me believe that might be the case. The Cowboys have been a ride the offense team for decades but McC might be taking that to a new level because he really doesn't want to give the ball to the other offense and I can't say I blame him.

My question about McC isn't about the coach but the man. Is he really past that bitterness? I couldn't blame him, the first year HC takes his team to the NFCCG to rub salt in the wound. Is Mike trying too hard? Is he trying to showcase the new and improved Mike McCarthy?
