I started threads on the subject of firing McCarthy after the Browns loss.

This team plays undisciplined, uninspired, and just flat out awful.

There is nothing encouraging about him as the head coach. And don't give him excuses about the injuries. Every team is facing injuries.

After Zeke's first fumble (terrible ball security), I would expect a coach to get in his face and at least have a talking with him, which may have prevented the second fumble.

Part ways with him now. He's done nothing in 6 weeks to suggest he could take a team anywhere.

He's done in the NFL.

I'll start a thread like this after every week for the rest of the season.

And hire who another YES man?
Ain't nothing changing as long as a Jones is the GM of this franchise!

I agree with you, but unfortunately due to upper managements own issues with admitting mistakes, this will take three years to happen.

Not every team has 12 guys on ir, not every team is trying to implement a new system missing most of their best players. I'll give it more than 6 games to pass judgment on a coach that took over a train wreck of a team, full of overpayed under achievers.

Not sure anyone could win with this team. We’re down 4 out of 5 starters on our OL, the D is trash and we lost our QB

I wasn’t a fan of MM when we signed him and I am even less of a fan now but it’s hard to judge him this year.

Sadly I agree he’s awful we don’t even look competent in any phase of the game.

I think you give Big Mike a mulligan for this year, no offseason program, no real training camp, no preseason, and massive injuries has put this team behind the eight ball. So I give him one more season, but if the team does not look remarkedly better next season then he has to go.

Maybe by then somebody like Lincoln Riley will be available.

If McCarthy doesn't pan out then we're doomed in the Jerry Era (we probably are anyway). He is the last ditch effort...a proven coach who could command Jerry's respect and learn to work with him and Stephen. We know Jerry is never going to give up full control again like he did with Parcells.

after this clown show tonight...cowboys need to go through at least 24-48 hours in pure shame...and ban any cockiness about anything for a while

I for one agree wholeheartedly. He does not need an offseason. Nor a training camp. Nor less injuries.
He is not a first year coach but has been coaching for 2 decades and won a trophy doing so.

He is no more or less limited by the global pandemic than any of the other 31 teams who faced all the same challenges.

He shouldn't have been hired in the first place and should be fired tomorrow.

It's almost a dead heat nowadays as to what this team is because it ain't the Cowboys. Here it's either the Dallas Daksters or Dallas Excuse Makers. One or the other. It ain't Cowboys.

He ain't a part of the solution, he IS a part of the problem.

total bullseye assessment

I think first you demote kellen and tell mike to call plays and be OC, then see how that goes.
Also tell him nolan has to go, and promote someone on def staff to DC.

Jones boys need to take action on these issues, or it will be more of the same.

and if it doesnt get better, then fire him and whole staff at end of season.

Gotta say it’s really funny to watch the clamoring for JG to come back while he’s making the Giants Offense look like trash. Absolute goldfish memories in this forum sometimes...
