Forget trying to win Sunday Night. Forget trying to win the division this season. Our Superbowl at this point is Trevor Lawrence..

Unfortunately... We may have watermelon kicked away our chance at an elite quarterback. 2 wins might be too many.

We have a couple of problems.

1. The team pushing these players to try and win these games.

2. The Jets are showing no signs of winning a game.

I'm struggling to find 1 win on this schedule.

Nov. 1 at Kansas City Chiefs
Nov. 9 New England Patriots
BYE
Nov. 22 at Los Angeles Chargers
Nov. 29 Miami Dolphins
Dec. 6 Las Vegas Raiders
Dec. 13 at Seattle Seahawks
Dec. 20 at Los Angeles Rams
Dec. 27 Cleveland Browns
Jan. 3 at New England Patriots

Hopefully the Jets will bring back Darnold and do their best to let him prove his value and the team pulls together and wins 3 games somehow.

Dallas needs to start Ben Dennucci.. Garret Gilbert.. Whoever.. Keep this Oline that might be the worst in history in place and let the defense do the rest.

We also need Justin Fields to have a really good season.. Like hopefully much better than Lawrence type of season. Lawrence struggling wouldn't be the worst thing too to help build the hype for Fields.

Then hopefully on draft day we can do whatever it takes to possibly move up a spot or 2 and get Lawrence. I'm sure Lawrence's agent would put a ton of pressure on the Jets to not select him as well if Dallas and Jerry Jones come calling.

This draft can send us 1 of 2 ways.. We either stay on the path of mediocrity and draft some "stud" defensive guy that has little impact on the outcomes of games or we turn this thing around and bring an electric player inside this building that is so desperately needed.

Right now this franchise needs hope and there is no hope on the way. With Lawrence in the house everything changes.

Potential elite QB for 5 years on a rookie deal is the way forward. Signing Dak and overcoming all of the other obstacles required for him to win a Championship just seems like wishful thinking.

I have no interest in Clemson Barbie.

On this season? Absolutely. We should start a rebuild, and it's blatantly obvious at this point.
I was responding to the extremely pessimistic post about the organization in general. For this season, yes, it’s time to look to the future beyond this disastrous season.

Lawrence or Prescott? At present, Prescott is of course a better NFL QB, but that's due to Lawrence still being in college.

Who will be better? Lawrence, and it's not close.
I bet the Commanders said the same thing about RG3. Where is he now?

Yeah, I am guilty of joining in an argument, no doubt!!!!!!

Good answer. I never give up, but that doesn't mean I'm stupidblind to the fact that we are not good at present.

The really sad part is that we'll keep retaining hope for this season and that will put us yet further away.

This is the kind of nonsensical move the Cowboys would make.

The only place on the roster that’s a bright spot is QB if Dak is playing. Our talented WRs are useless without him; two of them didn’t catch a single pass yesterday against Washington.

Trevor Lawrence will almost certainly be a downgrade from Dak. We need to spend our top-5 pick to start filling holes throughout our entire roster.

How do you see Lawrence as a downgrade? Not making sense of your declaration.

We have a franchise QB. The argument is who you think is better
I agree we have a franchise qb. But one who will want a huge deal. Strictly business, I'd go for lawrence. We'd have more cap money to fill other holes. There are many.

I gotta disagree here. Dak was missing Collins and Smith. Fredbeard was not the same. And he was missing 2 of his starting WR on top of that.

But Dak played. Only difference is the WR's and they had Adams.

We can't beat anyone right now. We can't score, we can't protect or take the football away and we can't stop anyone from scoring.

Both schemes offensively and defensively nobody seems to mesh with.

Chris Jones can't punt. Only Greg Zuerlien seems to be able to do his job the rare time he gets called upon.

We're going to be laying goose eggs and losing a player every game the way we're getting muscled out there.

If we played the Jets right now, I would put my money on them now that Darnold is at least back and they can at least score 10 points and keep the opposition under 20. Even though they are winless, their turnover ratio is not a bad as ours and they haven't had their starting QB for half the season.

Hell any QB playing for us right now is a walking Deadman. DiNucci's going to be dizzy and who's his backup? Kellen Moore going to have to put the pads back on while he calls plays?

Trevor Lawrence is a nice college QB but there is no way he’s setting NFL passing records like Dak was playing with this weak supporting cast.

Dak was averaging 372 yards passing a game through his first 5 games, despite not even finishing his last game.

Dalton and DiNucci combined for 117 total passing yards yesterday against Washington.

Lawrence would almost certainly fall somewhere in the middle between those two extremes.

Except we KNOW Dak can perform at a high level in the NFL. As eye catching as Lawrence’s physical tools are, we don’t know how he transitions to the NFL. He does have some warts that make me concerned. Granted I like him as a prospect. However, Dak’s injury is the main thing that would make me consider him if we somehow are in a position to draft him. If it wasn’t for that I’d not draft him with Prescott on the roster.

1. Yes, there's a way. Lawrence is a freak of a prospect. Better prospect than Herbort, who is tearing it up.
2. Dak has the best trio of WR's in the NFL, and HAD a good OL before this year. His O supporting cast is stellar, if the injured OL's can come back and play.

Oh i agree. But at least Dak was moving the football. Dalton had 50 yards at half.

I told you this was coming. The moronic anti-Dak crowd...after claiming that Dalton is more than enough of a replacement for Dak (many claiming that he is even better) and then Dalton proving them wrong...will move the goal post YET AGAIN and...jump on a "Tank for Lawrence" campaign.

They are so damn predictable.
