lol...I don't think Matt was there, I think he left the year LVE came...lol
Matt eberflus was the man....coaching matters
..remember Jaylon and LVE were considered a top LB core 2018? They were playing lights out. Making tackles, stopping runs, defending plays..etc. I couldn't believe it and thought we got finally blessed with winning formula in our LB spot.
.....>>>fast forward, they have basically disappeared as fast as they appeared. What happened? Coaching? Talent? Bad Luck? The Jones family? Or its just to complicated?
....I'm going with the complicated part.
If we were to cut him,the most he would be is a special teams guy and spot starter if someone got hurt...that's his future...but we all know jerry would never cut his pet cat.which is WHY he cannot be judged based on stats. I watch the games. And I watch him. I would not even pay this guy the league minimum. In fact his talent level suggest league minimum or camp fodder. He is that bad. He would not even make my team....and I will be watching to see if he sticks anywhere else in the NFL once he is cut by us.
BumWhat’s the excuse for Poe?

....bro, sounds like you put on some pads and helmet back in the day. .. but your right, about him not able to shed off his blockers.I would love to say that Jaylon is a tackling machine I really would. But he makes the majority of his tackles beyond the line of scrimmage. He doesn't stack and shed, is easily fooled by play action or misdirection, and is unable to get low, take on a block holding his ground while freeing up his outside arm to tackle the ball carrier. He plays standing straight up and skates backwards when taking on blockers more akin to a cb. You'll see him get thrown out of the play by a pulling OL with just a shove because he's playing so straight up and often times backpedaling. There is a reason why the Cowboys were dead last against the RB screen last season. I have nothing against Jaylon but he is at this point a terrible LB.
..>I was very surprised how awful Poe did. I thought he was going to be a huge positive factor going forward. ..Oh well, what can you do.
Cut his ***..dude ls soft and slow...does he ever make a tackle?..>I was very surprised how awful Poe did. I thought he was going to be a huge positive factor going forward. ..Oh well, what can you do.
not sure he could play special teams. Takes bad angles. Has poor change of direction. Averse to contact. Can't get off blocks. Actually....with all those "qualities"...I'm not sure how on earth he is in the NFL!!!If we were to cut him,the most he would be is a special teams guy and spot starter if someone got hurt...that's his future...but we all know jerry would never cut his pet cat.
Among mallards, only the hens quack. Drakes whistle. And geese honk. They don't quack. I take it you don't hunt.A goose?
Well bb,I was just giving him the benefit of the doubt..we both know if we cut him,he'd be out of the league all together...he's that bad.not sure he could play special teams. Takes bad angles. Have only hunted ducks a couple times and it was over 20 years ago, I pretty much stopped hunting altogether these days. I should have known that about geese and ducks though. Had no idea about drakes and hens.Among mallards, only the hens quack. Drakes whistle. And geese honk. They don't quack. I take it you don't hunt.

My biggest gripe with Jaylon are his instincts. Many times he gets completely fooled. I'm yelling at the telly, "No, you dumb****,,,.. that way". I
Duck hunting's the greatest because you're always with your hest friend. Your dog.Have only hunted ducks a couple times and it was over 20 years ago, I pretty much stopped hunting altogether these days. I should have known that about geese and ducks though. Had no idea about drakes and hens.
I played up to my junior year then quit football to play on the golf team. Lol.
Agreed, but I believe that’s why he should be a weak side chase LB. Neither he nor LVE seem to fit the inside LB position in a 3-4 scheme.I would love to say that Jaylon is a tackling machine I really would.
