You can play hard and still be absolute trash. That does not make you a scapegoat.
It does when there are other players in the team that need to be cut like or traded. Like Jordan Lewis. Guy hasn’t played hard for us in about 2 years.

Yeah good point. Why in the hell would they allow this to become public?
Maybe there is a team or two on the fence willing to give up a 7th and this would push them to do the trade instead of competing with other teams on the open market. It could happen..............

Yeah, I get that, but there may come a time were the old pruning shears are still necessary for the better good of the tree.

Geez, You'd think I was a arborist or something

Oh I still see some that shouldn't be removed and nobody is saying anything.

My perpetual target Tyrone Crawford comes to mind. That guys is making more money than all of these trade/cut guys COMBINED, and his stats are even worse than Poe's!

But nothing coming out about him, is there?

I hope that they go the Cavanaugh route and trade off anyone they can, especially the contract year guys. Get whatever you can to try to rebuild this disaster next year.

It HAS happened. Plenty of times. Just a few months ago, in fact.

I'm not a huge DLaw fan but I do think this scheme is killing him. He clearly looks uncomfortable pre snap standing up. He is a 43 end, and that is not what Nolan is trying to do.

They made such a thing of continuity on offense, but did the exact opposite on defense. Not that we didnt need change....just maybe not this dramatically.

I was all into the multiple look thing since we were so predictable before....but this doesnt appear to be that to me....its a pure 34 type of look for our 43 ends.

No excuses for Lawrence. Nolan allowed him to use whatever stance he was comfortable in, and his numbers still suck. He got paid and stopped working as hard, it's as clear as day.

They can't afford to cut Jaylon at this point. But they can't afford NOT to bench him.

Main thing is to end the risk of his injury guarantees kicking in. If there are cap constraints so we need to wait til the end of the season, that's fine. Just end him as a progress stopper and injury risk.

At least they tried. Nearly everybody on this board was ecstatic when we signed Poe and McCoy. And again, everybody was calling for us to sign Griffen over Clowney, which we did. In hindsight, everybody was wrong on these guys, not just Stephen and McClay.
Thats the problem with this fanbase, “at least they tried”. This has been a routine thing the last few years, going cheap in FA and this is the result. FYI I was never on the Griffen train.

They need to start playing Anea and Bring Bernard to the 53 permanently. Huge Utah fan here, but honestly they would help and they need the snaps to develope.

There are a few things:

- clearly these are the bums who leaked info
- these guys could have been influencing the rest of the stench on D, so we will see if things change now
- the fact the Jones' tried to sing FA vets to put the best team on the field is admirable, it didn't work out
- with the injuries up front it won't matter this year

1.I agree with you on Crawford
2. IMO why there's no talk about Crawford is because they love him and he probably isn't a problem child in the locker room. Even though his play on the field is no where near the level of play that got him that deal off potential.
3. His cap hit won't be reduced if cut and I doubt no one wants to take on his remaining base in a trade.

in past years they have gone dumpster diving. This year they brought in "big name" free agents. Just so happens that they brought them in too late and they appear to be finished. Never said you were on the Griffen train, but many here were.

They have been trying for 25 years lol. It’s time for accountability they are making a lot of money to be wrong for 25 years and counting.

With these moves, Dallas should now have over $31M in Cap Room this year and over $1M NEXT year (according to Over the Cap). So, if they don't spend much more this year, they'll have around $30M NEXT year. IF they could only find logic and cut Crawford NOW, they would have another $8M THIS year.
