Sounds like Jerry & co. got finessed out of 4 million dollars by Poe and his agent. Coming off an injury and has been overweight all summer/season. Everyone basically knew the player was damaged goods, yet he takes home a cool 4 million for 7 weeks of poor performance.

And now he's going to "work himself back into shape"?

Jerry trying to hold someone accountable. Look in the mirror my friend..
We really need this team and FO to come apart at the seams. The only way we see a change after 25 years.
Some of you will call me crazy, but just band aid solutions will not work. Jerry & the Cowboys are broken at the core.
No amount of changes around the edges will fix this. This team is headed towards real mediocrity for the next few years. Just watch... Jerry will keep doing what he does.
I think he might be due for another face lift...
what if dak has not gotten injured. same for collins and tyrone smith. same for zack martin. same for blake jarwin. then add lve and sean lee to the mix. and throw in chido and brown. missed games for lewis with bad ankle. lost of mccoy before season started. injury to antwuan woods. loss of trysten hill for the hill. i suggest things have been better and this is not a fo broken at the core. it's a team decimated by injuries. happens all the time in the nfl. sucks, but it's reality.

Come on? Just think about what you are saying... All I see is a mountain of what if's? The league doesn't work like that.
Take advantage of the situation we are in.
-Walk away from the Dak albatross contract. This is truly a gift for the Cowboys. Not over paying a good guy is the best thing you can do.
-Clean the salary cap even though it wasn't bad. Get a top 3 pick, hopefully get that young QB and move forward.

because mccoy was lost due to injury. woods has been injured. hill gone for year. crawford who just stands there and stinks. and the rest were rookies who appear to be getting more time. newly signed hamilton has shown some ability lately.
Dear old man:
You continue to impress with your wisdom ... your ... your .... HORSE SENSE!
You remind me of Earl Holliman with your good looks and smarts.
It is me fondest wish to one day wheel you into the Early Bird buffet and knock back some prune juice while you tell me how it was during the Great Depression and the advantages of leather helmets and rotary telephones.
Enjoy your remaining years, govnor!

As for the D-line.....most of the FAs acquired during off-season......played in systems different than Nolan's junk.....Problem 1.

and with whom would you replace dak? i do get your point. but getting a good young qb is the desire of every team in the nfl who doesn't have one and you usually have to give up the farm for the one prized cow.

fromph. good to see you again. do you ever come up with anything new or just hang on to the same stale, insipid posts over and over again. i should call you captain redundant. but i prefer fromph. later, fake brit.

Get a top pick and get a rookie QB. Avoid a 40 million dollar contract.
Paying Dak is a mistake, this team is not built for a SB run. It just isn't realistic. We as as fanbase should stop fooling ourselves.

how many great qb's do you see in next year's draft. even if we have the 3rd pick overall, we have to hope the first two don't rain on our parade and take the two best qb's on the board. and it's a certainty lawrence will be the first pick. if we make a mistake signing dak, then chiefs erred, texans erred, seahawks erred and soon the ravens will err with jackson. that's just life in the nfl.

Amazing how our FO works. He's out of shape? Sign him. No let's not look into other 1Techs.

Cuts him 7 months later for being out of shape.

With the offseason we had, 'looks like we picked the wrong year to get deep into free agency.'

Then Farmer Jerry needs to paint his red barn, and make sure his crops are ready for harvest. #TankForTrevor
