Were people actually expecting anything better from Dinucci?

He’s supposed to suck. Every teams third string qb sucks. Hell, almost every teams second string qb sucks.

Not according to Cowboys fans...he was supposed to be the next Romo or better yet, Brady. Cowboys fans are notoriously bad at over hyping rookie QB talent...e.g, Cooper Rush or Drew Henson...which makes us look completely stupid when they prove to be exactly what they are.

I really wasn't expecting him to wear that stupid headband. Disappointing

Uh, the play caller is taking shots precisely because the qb is so bad. I think the rest of the night vindicated that call. It’s the only shot we had to score.

That's not the spot to take that chance.

And it was a play they ran earlier that didn't fool Philly then. Why would you expect them to fall for it the second time?

It was just a dumb play call.

Y'all really wanted to win, huh. When Dak went down it was over. Everybody should know DiNucci wasn't ready, and should've known it was gonna be ugly.

I wasn't. He isn't close to being ready, I am sure the coaches knew. He was a raw player coming out of school..that's tough duty having to play this year like that. I don't know why they keep starting Steele either? He's going to get Dalton killed again but at this point it's all for the best...

Wasn't hard to see the stage was too big for him.......he was completely overwhelmed and the coaches knew it.

That was EXACTLY the time to take the shot. I mean, exactly.

If the Nooch is salvageable it is going take a different coaching staff than this.

Nope not at all..

The refs on that OBVIOUS offsides by Philly's #50 on that so called sack fumble TD (in which , Curry was down), I am more amazed by that.

It really wasn't.

And it failed because it didn't fool the Eagles at all. Just like when Moore ran it in the first half and the Eagles immediately sniffed it out. Why did Moore suddenly think they would fall for it?

Also, note that they ran a fake reverse earlier in the game with Pollard and the Eagles actually AGAIN defended the reverse well but Pollard faked the pitch and had a good run.

Pretty much every team runs trick plays when they cross the 50 so let’s start there. That’s what we did.

And, the play didn’t work. Too bad for us. But the coaches were taking risks because they knew what they had a qb. Are you going to ignore all the other times they dinucci didn’t lead us to a TD?

The coaches were taking shots and I’m fine with it. They pretty much had to.

Bad scouting he is not an NFL caliber QB
A 7th round QB should not play for the first 2 seasons much less 7 games into his rookie year with no preseason, strength and conditioning and missing both all pro tackles.

Romo would have looked just as bad tonight in that situation. It’s why Parcells held him back as long as he did.

Judge him if he still looks that bad next August playing in the 4th quarter against the Texans. He should be 3rd string again next year and being the backup to Tribusky who could probably turn his career around learning from McCarthy as a backup.

LOL. No, every team doesn't run a lot of trick plays when they cross the 50 because there aren't alot of trick plays like a reverse with a WR looking to throw the ball run in NFL games.

And sure, some trick plays had to be run in this game. But they had run the ball 6 straight times, averaging around 5 yards per carry and Philly couldn't stop running right at them. If that was a time for anything, it was for play action and maybe a deep in or even a post. Why in the world, would you then run a reverse with a speedy defense who shut down that play TWICE already tonight and has largely been active and quick on the edges all game?

It was a dumb play call. Moore got cute, it cost us in a big opportunity, it eventually resulted in us giving Philly the ball around midfield and that was pretty much the ball game.

I didn’t realize I had to explain myself so carefully. OF COURSE I didn’t mean that teams run trick plays every time they cross the 50. To interpret it that way is just dumb. When teams run trick plays, it’s often after they cross the 50. That better?

And you continue to ignore the main point. Dinucci wasn’t going to lead us to a TD. And no, we weren’t just going to keep running it all the way to the end zone in all likelihood. The defense would have stiffened the close we got I can assure you. And there wasn’t a chance in hell that dinucci could operate an offense inside the 20 with the field contradicted.

Want proof? He never did lead the team to a TD.

Lol....yah right. Romo was a great qb. Nucci simply isn’t even close to nfl caliber. Arm is soft and the poor guy was as scared as I’ve ever seen anyone.
