The Jets will dump Darnold. Plus, if any team that doesn't need a franchise QB is in position to draft Lawrence, they will trade the pick for a bounty of picks. Nobody is letting Trevor slide past them.

Dak’s gonna cost a hell of a lot more then Lawrence if by some weird scenario we do land the 1st pick. Lawrence is a no brainer if we get the 1st pick and I’m a Dak fan. A big one.

Unfortunately we don't need a QB. We need to trade as many of the over played players on this team as possible after the season if not sooner. Jerry messed up letting Byron Jones go; he cannot make the same mistake with Dak. DLaw and Zeke are on the top of my list for trade bait to pick up additional picks in next years draft.

And he plays the most important position on the team.

Your picking that high in the draft -- you need difference makers, and game-changers -- if they play QB, that is an added bonus.
Selecting Lawrence would be a smart investment.

he also has a lot of risk too, we don’t know what he’s going to be at the pros, we do know what dak is which is a top 5-10 qb capable of winning.

I’d trade the pick and load up honestly

Problem is that if he insists on a 3 year deal we'll potentially be in need of that franchise QB in 2024 without the top 5 draft pick.

As a few have mentioned, top QB's are usually drafted by poor teams, we'd be in the enviable position of having a good offense for the QB to move into.

Just being in position to draft Lawrence is like winning the draft lottery. That top pick will command a Hershel Walker like bounty. We are talking 3 first round picks as a minimum. So, whether you want the player or not, we want to be in position to draft him. What if Dak's agent Todd France becomes even more ridiculous in his demands?

I’ve always been one of Dak’s biggest supporters. If somehow we landed in the #2 spot, I think you have to take either Lawrence or Fields. I wouldn’t trade up for them, but if one falls in your lap then it would be really hard to pass up on the talent + cap savings combo.

I actually think the Jets all take him or will trade the pick for a kings ransom. If I were the Wash football team I’d be trying to add some picks before the deadline as ammunition.
