As it turns out, the kid was framed ......... that's foul. He was a 1st round pick for the Giants. Almost like getting an additional 1st rounder for nothing but a rookie contract,

Former Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker is no longer facing armed robbery charges.

The Broward County (Florida) State’s Attorney’s office announced on Monday that four armed robbery charges against Baker have been dropped. The news was the second development of the day in the case.

The attorney for Baker’s accusers was arrested on Monday after allegedly making an attempt to extort Baker. Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports that William Dean initially demanded $1.5 million and worked his way down to requesting $800,000 in exchange for his clients changing their statements about witnessing Baker rob people in May.

Dean’s three clients reportedly recanted their statements last week. The fourth person accusing Baker of robbery is not represented by Dean and did not show up for an October hearing.

No and every bit of that is because of on the field, not off.

That guy hadn't a clue most of the time.

I dont care if someone comes up with some PFF stat saying how great he was.

Pure bust.
Can you be a bust after 1 year...?

Isn't good coaching supposed to be able to help a player with those kinds of issues........oh wait. I guess Jaylon Smith proves we don't have that

There are others issues that to me are not worth the risks
The arrest was just the legal part of his issues
His team mates hates him and he didn’t play worth a crap either
Just draft a CB
We’ve had enough “projects”

Bring him in.

We're busted at CB, he's young. He was drafted in the 1st round and right now we are in a position to see which young players have talent going forward.

He's a bit on the small side but get him into game shape and see what he can do.

Diggs got beat on plays this year too while starting to make some.

Most of our secondary are in their contract years and probably won't get resigned.

Pick the kid up, it's cost effective too.

I want no part of him! He was an issue for the Giants the day he was drafted.
