I have always been a big fan \ believer in Zeke the player. But I still admit that i understand some of the frustrations & criticism being levied at him. There is clearly something "wrong" with him. I have never doubted his commitment or effort so I think its physical. Whether it is truly serious enough to derail his career or something he will bounce back from, i don't know. But I'd be lying if i said i wasn't concerned that it might be the former.

I saw online that some people think zekes getting released. If that happens, I’ll legit stop following this team after 30 years.

We already paid for 2021, but have to guarantee 2022 as well in March to get it.

Unless they think the next *2* years of Zeke are worth less than his 2022 salary, and are willing to publicly fess up to that, Zeke isn't going anywhere.

I hope they’re loyal to zeke. This man s had a declining o- line since his rookie year and continues to run hard and kick up the blitz. He also had a receiving t d. He leads the team in t ds
Imagine arguing this team hasn't been loyal to Zeke. They have put up with his myriad off-field issues, myriad showing up out of shape issues and now underperformance on a massive contract....all while still being 10-15lbs to heavy.

Zeke should have never been drafted. He should have never bene signed. I've said where this was going to end up since the day his name was called in 2016. You got guys walking in off the street producing all around the league and we used our highest pick in a decade and then used 90MM in cap space on a running back.

Why isn't this team loyal to reason, logic and capital allocation?

I lost live for them and mainly dak when dez got scape hosted and released. I missed a few games. If zekes released after carrying this team to two playoff appearances and suffering behind the worst o-line in football this year and NEVER! Missing a game due to injury, I’ll support another team for the rest of stephens life.
Zeke’s not getting released until 2022 at earliest.

That wouldn’t happen. Even if you want to rebuild and want to move on from Zeke, he’s been good and I think you would get a 2nd or 3rd pick for sure. But I wouldn’t trade him, I think he can still play and how wold any RB on the Cowboys every catch Emmitt if you don’t keep resigning him. Give the guy a chance there’s no QB right now.

That "worst o-line in football" excuse gets too much play around these parts. Zeke is obviously not the player he was and his stats expose that showing a significant decline in productivity through the years. I'm less interested in rushing titles and would like to see some complimentary football played around here for a change. I wish the Cowboys would get rid of J. Smith first, but the in over his head GM considers that Dude a cornerstone.

The Cowboys were wholly incompetent signing a RB to an elite level contract and handing a gimpy LB who shies away from contact to a big deal. Those two players and the cap hit they will impose on the team will become a significant progress stopping dynamic, particularly next year when the cap gets significantly reduced.
Inside The Star noted the decline of our O-line in 2019. We've done little to remedy that. We got two QB's injured from trying to escape a collapsing pocket.

So I ain't buying your excuses for the oline. You can trot out some phantom "forward integer cross-valve exodirectional n-space binomial square mean numerator ratio" stat to prove how great they are all you want. But they suck as much as everyone else.

If everyone performed as good as your hated "rushing title"....we'd be dman good. But the whole team drags everyone down.

Two QB's smashed escaping a BS god-forsaken pocket and you sit there and tell everyone they are without fault. Unbelievable.

Perhaps you should read my post again, but then again, you're part of the problem. 2018 was the only year during Zeke's tenure the Cowboys OL was rated by PFF out the top 5 and they were 14.

They'd take a $24mill dead cap hit next year if they release him. He'll be here at least another year.
Showcase him, then trade him in 2021 for draft picks.
Sign Dak for one year, showcase him then trade him for draft picks.

If Dallas doesn’t get out of Zeke’s contract ASAP, I nay not continue supporting them. This can work two ways. It would be continued stupidity to keep paying elite money for average production.

They wouldn't release him until after the 2021 season due to the money. And they should do so at that time. Wayyyyyyyy too much money invested in a RB to win a chip. And Zeke isn't even the best RB on the team currently which sucks even worse.

I was wrong to criticize this thread.

I said no one is seriously thinking of this. But now seeing another thread where they are, *I* thought seriously about it, and concluded that despite only having to guarantee one more season to get two more from Zeke, he's *still* not worth it at half price.

Move on.

Oh...*I* am part of the "problem". LOL....that's hilarious.

2 QB's injured because we can't keep a pocket. You can take PFF and stick 'em.

What does Dak's injury have to do with "keep a pocket"? That "keep a pocket" you speak of had him on pace to set all kinds of passing records. Schtick that.

Compare Pollard vs Elliott's with the same O-line. If a player is what determines what team you root for then your are a player fan more that a fan of the team.

No QB, for the past 4 years all we’ve been told by his supporters is that he carried Dak, not the other way around. Now he gets the no QB excuse?!
