Don't even! Just walk away. And know for future reference any attempt at humor by you on one of my posts will be relentlessly ridiculed by me, so why start?

You know, I was just telling my wife that my life seems a little incomplete; what it really needs is a heckler. Thanks for volunteering.

I suppose No one is going to mention Pouncey was tripped up by his own teammate #71?

Not trying to diss Gallimore here.. but this particular highlight shouldn’t get people too excited. Gallimore didn’t “blow up” Pouncey. It’s obvious that Pouncey’s Left leg or foot was tripped up as he was anchoring down to defend Gallimore. Gallimore took advantage, as he should, and pushed Pouncey to the ground as he took off after the QB.

Good for Gallimore to take advantage, but it wasn’t like he was man handling him.

Still needs to start going backwards to trip backwards, so at least Gallimore still won that particular battle.

Hey, I’m not the one trying to equate Williams to an 8x Pro Bowler/2x All Pro.

That’s your dimwittery, not mine.
dude you are lost cause if you cant see how horrible of debate you are trying to bring here..Cwill isnt pouncy and yet both of them get beat at times , at least Cwill got knocked back by Donald and Heyward not our Rookie DL plays only because we cut, traded, or others on IR about 5 players in front of him..

Point is we wtach our player play by lay game in and game out and criticize like they are a bust when in fact all players even the best ones get their butts knocked back more then once season, Cwill been coached by 3 different OLC and 2 stafss now and all of them lest him as starter and yet on the regular even in our worst year on the OL as far as injuries' go he wasn't moved to Tackle nor will he ever yet fans think he should. They say hes bust but coaches say different..Ill take NFL coaches opinions over yours thats for sure..

cwill not a PB type all pro player but for sure hes not bust hes better ten many around the league , we judge him harshly because frankly we have ben spoiled with one of the best OLs in football up until the last few years and expect all 5 starters to be at Martins level..its fan perspective, non issue..

every team has to have average to good players at many positions not all pro Bowl types.

I Only imagine the film sessions over in Pitt were they watch pouncy get ragdolled by our rookie..:)) Gallimore looked like Donald for one play..hope its not an anomaly..:yourock::oldcouple::popcorn:

It was a good hit, but Gallimore came at an angle with his weight behind him, and pouncey is moving his feet looking for where the hit is coming from.

it wasnt a straight up overpower move, but i like it

Was more impressed with his quickness and footwork. Pouncey was moving back on his own before Gallimore got to him, if Pouncey had been stationary and his feet set don't think it would have been so good.

But he's young, have to give the young guys a chance to shine....

Actually looks like to me Pouncey stepped on #71's foot.

But not trying to diss Gallimore, at least he took advantage of it and made the play...

and don't forget pro bowl OG David DeCastro, who Gallimore gave fits to as well.
:oldcouple:

A new defensive player's first year can look like he's on his way to a HOF or multiple Pro Bowl career. But offensive linemen study them, learn their moves and tendencies, and learn to judge their strength and other abilities. Many times that results in the defensive player's effectiveness falling off.

Not saying Gallimore can't turn into another Donald-type player, I always give young guys a chance, and it's encouraging, but as Parcells said about Romo "let's not get out the anointing oil just yet"...

- I hate these guys like Trysten Hill and McCoy (already damaged goods anyway) had to get hurt before Gallimore was given more of a chance to display his skill and potential.

- Even useless Poe was a hinderance in denying Gallimore's DT time. even if he isn't a 1 tech type. But Cowboys flip flop DT personnel pre-snap, and I definitely don't mind Neville contributing
as a pass rusher,.... regardless where he lines up as a interior pass rusher.

- also,. if not for Goodell's and ridiculous policy that still held Gregory out for a month or so, (seems like another suspension time) before he was finally able to re-emerge on the playing field
and he has already off to showing his disruptive skills.

Just have to wonder what Gregory could have done if not for all the suspensions...

that goes both ways, ..Defensive players also study offensive players too,
but the point that Gallimore made an immediate impression on two well heralded, decorated interior players shows how much his potential can become, and can be even further advanced
once Gallimore himself is up to par in trench-play.

Only way to get that, to become more .. is to play these young guys.
and while on playing young guys, i'll say and give kudos to these coaches for not showing a bias to Crawford because of his 9 million tag and locker room popularity
and forcing him into starting lineup over 2nd year Hill.

Agreed, though the offensive player knows what play is coming and knows more what he has to do to block the defensive player. Minor point, though.

Crawford has his uses, but definitely doesn't need to be the starter...

So true, No one is taking measurements for his bust in Canton. Just saying he appears to be making an impact in the DL...causing havoc and chaos on the interior which is his job. You already see the difference between him and Hill. So this is encouraging. His potential is great. Kind of reminds me a little of Russell Maryland, same size and everything. We shall see how it goes.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Gallimore emerges as our version of Chiefs' Chris Jones ?

if not that C Jones level, (as he was a 2nd rd pick selected by KC) I truly hope Gallimore becomes more Jay Ratliff than Russell Maryland.
While Ratliff was undersized for a 3-4 scheme NT. he was more a Tasmanian devil like interior pass rusher than what Maryland ever was at DT.
Before the wear tear pounding took toll, he was near unblockable vs pass.
Rat even had the ability to often split the double team.

Maryland ended up having a decent career. Nowhere near the player envisioned as the No.1 overall pick in the entire NFL draft his class year out.
But he was no stand out pro bowl, All pro caliber player. He was not a player who coaches and offensive players had to account and double team to scheme for.

when it comes to the bigger impact interior players we've had a very loong years ago: Ratliff, Glover and Hatcher.
-And when we finally got Glover here in a 4-3 scheme, it wasn't anything close to the stunning 16 sack Glover was with the Saints, imo.
-Hatcher had 11 sacks when we switched to the 4-3 scheme.
