Week 11 - Current Standings / Week 12 Opponent
1. NY Jets 0-10 .583 SOS / vs Miami
2. Jacksonville 1-9 .551 SOS / vs Cleveland
3. Cincinnati 2-7-1 .531 SOS / vs NY Giants
4. Dallas 3-7 .469 SOS / vs Washington
5. Washington 3-7 .472 SOS / at Dallas
6. NY Giants 3-7 .500 SOS / at Cincinnati
7. LA Chargers 3-7 .500 SOS / at Buffalo
8. Houston 3-7 .548 SOS / at Detroit
9. Atlanta 3-7 .560 SOS / vs Las Vegas
10. ... more teams ...

SOS determines the order for the 3-7 teams. Looking at the schedules for NY Jets, Jacksonville, and Cincinnati (without Burrow) it's hard to see any of them winning another game. They may have the top three draft spots locked up. Cincinnati could get a huge trade offer to move down ... but they never trade. That Oregon offensive tackle maybe the next Anthony Munoz in Cincinnati.

Week 12 - Best "Realistic" Results
1. NY Jets 1-10: They could beat Miami ... maybe
2. Jacksonville 2-9: Cleveland maybe their last chance for another win
3. Dallas 3-8: Washington is not playing well. Huge test for the tank
4. Cincinnati 3-8-1: With Burrow out they might not win another game
5. Have other 3-7 teams win.

Week 13 - Worst "Realistic" Results
1. NY Jets 0-11
2. Jacksonville 1-10
3. Washington 3-8
4. NY Giants 3-8
5. LA Chargers 3-8
6. Houston 3-8
7. Atlanta 3-8
7. Philadelphia 3-7-1
8. Cincinnati 3-7-1

... a bunch of other teams ...

19. Dallas 4-8

Do we accept our fate and go back to rooting for the rest of the division to lose?

End of the tank? Dallas will probably be picking 19th in the draft. Their schedule is far more favorable than their division opponents and they're not playing any worse than any of them.

Sadly, the Cowboys defense is playing much better. Looks like they have a legitimate shot to win the division. Only thing worse than this season would be the Cowboys actually winning the NFC East. This could be the worst season in a loooooong time. I didnt think the season could get any worse.

If we had a healthy Dak I'd be happy with making the playoffs and taking our chances. Without Dak, we'll probably face whoever comes in second in the NFC West and lose

It’s like a tennis game. We were at advantage: tank, and now we’re at deuce. The outcome of the next game determines which destination will be more entertaining to root for.

Drafting at 19 after another failed playoff participation trophy does not improve this team.
It's as crazy as paying the contract demands of the currently injured starting QB.
These type decisions do not improve this TEAM going forward.

Improving the team is not priority one of this organization.

Jerry's "long-term plan" is year-to-year. He's almost 80. He's not concerned with where the team will be 5-10 years from now.

Yea but they will take Sewell who shouldbe been our top target

I don’t think we’ll target Sewell even if we have a top 5 pick. There’s a good chance Martin stays at RT. If so, Collins will either move to RG or LT next season, depending on Tyron’s status.

The end of the "tank"? I don't think the "tank" ever began. The team was just playing bad.

Ahhh, so true. Jerry's vision that he is only one or two players from glory remains.
I mean, he is the one supplying the talent and 5oo coaches could coach this team to a trophy with all this talent he's supplying.

I musta forgot, thanks for reminding me, lol.

This whole "tank" discussion just reminds me why I prefer college football to the NFL.

There is no benefit to losing in college. It hurts recruiting and revenue streams. The goal is to win every week.

Top 5 pick you have to take him. He's the only player besides the 2 qbs that has legitimate top 8 talent.

This draft is extremely top heavy, after Sewell the drop off is extreme.

Yea but they will take Sewell who shouldbe been our top target
Alot of fans would complain but it would 100% be the right pick.

Offensive tackle is the 3rd most valueable position in the sport and it's not like we have a sharks tank of capital invested (Free with a 4th rounder, Tyron was drafted almost 10 years ago, and La'el was supplementary draft). If anything it's impressive how both spots have been locked up solidly the last 10 years with as little as we've invested

The Cowboys started today picking 4th and ended today picking 4th. We were never getting the a top-2 pick because the Jets and Jags are just that bad.

With that said, if we lose Thursday, pack it in for the season.
I’m with you. If they lose Thursday it’s definitely over. If they win they’re in first. And eagles have tough road ahead.
