Has there ever been a player that tricked 90%+ of the forum into thinking he's good, when in fact he was not? Normally when we get a shiny new free agent like Poe or HHCD, then they'll be 10x better according to the forum than they actually are, but Zeke is an endentured player that y'all just continued to ignore his lack of effectiveness.

I mean this offseason the list of positions he held according to y'all included:
Best all around RB in the league
Best player on the team
Top 5 RB in the league

Completely asinine

He was also anointed best blocking RB.

Zeke is an insult to injury. Paying way too much for that fumble machine is just counterproductive on top of counterproductive. No wonder this team is going nowhere.

It drove me nuts when Emmitt Smith, himself, said back in 2016 that Zeke is better than Emmitt ever was as a RB. Soon afterwards, many others started parroting the same thing during the next several years. Back in October 2018, even Skip Bayless said Zeke was way better than Emmitt ever was.

So many on here and all over social media were following along and saying the same thing ever since.

Now? Nothing but crickets...

I've always liked Zeke, but he is no Emmitt. Not even close.

Zeke was a perfect fit in his 1st 3 years winning 2 rushing tittles and should have been a 3rd. But things don't stay the same long in this NFL. He's neither the same nor is this OL. Waste of a good 90 million when we had him for far less under contract. One of the dumbest decisions we've ever seen this front office make.

If perfect fit means running the ball the most times, then sure.

The rushing titles seemed to be what fooled people the most into thinking he was good. That's a very good example as to why bulk stats aren't very helpful at all.

Dude struck gold getting a bff owner/gm who coddles him. Why strive to be the best when the gm sets you up for life early, and makes excuses for your poor play?

Jerry ate it defending him to Goodell and other times. Zeke responds by pouting for a new deal and gets it.

We should run him 40 times a game for the rest of the season. We’re tanking anyway.

Wonder what excuses some would have them when he becomes the bellcow again and gets a 2.5 ypc

He was never a super elusive player. Tough runner who can pound defenses to wear them down has always been his strength. Not he's less elusive, slower, and can't break a tackle.

he didnt trick anyone, he WAS good in 16,17 even 18

YOU have hindsight bravado, thats what is going on here. If you suggest you "knew it all along" youre the one tricked, by your own mind

Darn right he was top 5 in the league until a recent point

I know it was a good amount l, but I hope it wasn't actually 90% of our fanbase that was dumb enough to think that 2 year early contract extension was a good idea

If you think 4.1 yards per carry in 2017 is "good", then your bar is so damn low lol. In 2018 he was one of the least efficient receiving backs in the league and had 6 fumblesbto boot. Again y'all are so easily fooled it crazy.

I've been consistent in my stance since 2017. Found it weird that everyone had such higher standards for Dak and so low for Zeke. You can ask just about anyone that has followed me if this is true.

You not realizing soon enough that Zeke wasn't that good early on is your fault, don't put that on anyone else. Some of us are just better at this than others.

He wasn't top 10 recently, much less top 5. You're exposing yourself.
