There is no way to make sense of this season.

Covid with new coaching staff.

Extreme injury issues.

Some of the coaching staff did not even know each other prior to being hired. A new HC can only hire coaches that are available.

Garrett would have just had Zeke ram into the Washington DL all game long despite their DL being one of the best.

Turmoil this season is better than the Garrett MO of close losses and 8-8 or 9-7 seasons with no real chance of true playoff success.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by your last sentence, but if you mean you'd rather lose definitively than lose close games and just make the playoffs, there are a lot of people here who'd agree with that. But I think most of them want that because they think the FO is gonna come away from the draft with a brand spankin' new first round QB.

Sad to say those fans, of whom I am one, will be sadly disappointed because the bogans have already promised no QB even if we picked first. LOLOL :banghead:

I agree. Given reasonable health, next year's team should be quite talented. Offensively, they are set if the tackles come back healthy. Granted, T. Smith is a question mark. People might not like Elliott's paycheck or draft position, but paired with Pollard they are fine at RB. Prescott should be healthy. Jarwin and Schultz look solid at TE. WR is already strong.

The defense needs work, especially if you don't get A. Smith back and/or have concerns about Gregory. You need a DT. LB might be OK. Can J. Smith rebound and LVE stay healthy. You need 2 CBs and a S if you let your free agents walk, and maybe if you don't.

But you might have found some answers this year (Gallimore, Wilson and Gregory, if he can stay healthy mentally). Hill could be there as well. Diggs looks like a long-term answer.

Need a strong draft, and I hope they are in position to trade down a bit and pick up an extra pick or two. If the wheels are completely off and they pick as high as third, you might need to take the OT. A draft isn't for a single season. That might complicate the defensive rebuild a bit.

Assuming you let most of your vet free agents walk, you're going to have to play in that market. I'd try to play at a bit higher level even if that means going into training camp a little soft at a position or two. They don't need another FA blunder like this year.

I don't buy that these veteran coaches suddenly became incompetent. But we will see, I suppose. I think they've played with a bad hand and tried too hard to compensate.

I'm still on the fence with the coaches, but only because of all of the injuries. I'm leaning towards not liking them. I have yet to see them outcoach anybody, but again that might be due to who's on the field.

Even the greatest hitters in baseball strike out.

They don't panic and change their swing mechanics every time they strike out.

Seasons are like an at-bat.

There are 5 new HCs this year in the NFL. All of them except Joe Judge in NYG have more wins than Big Mac. They all experienced the same Covid challenges. Sure we have had a ton of injuries. But injuries didn't make Zeke fumble, cause our defense to be dead last in turnovers, or make our coaching staff go for it on 4th and 10 from our 25 yd line. Any objective observer would have to say this coaching staff has been awful.

Ron Rivera as the new head coach for WFT, experiencing same Covid outbreak, has had to deal with his own cancer treatments, and gone through 3 QBs, and somehow managed to sweep us this year by a combined score of 66-19.

Kevin Stefanski is the new HC in Cle, and despite the Covid difficulties and their share of injuries, he has parlayed that into a 7-3 record including a win here in Sept.

Yes, we have experienced terrible injuries. Probably shot our season when Dak went down. But the boneheaded coaching decisions we have seen since week one in LA have nothing to do with injuries.

I believe numerous injuries can shoot down a season, especially at QB. But this team’s poor performance is more than just injury or Covid induced. Even more concerning to me is this team’s serious lack of talent on defense.

I also believe MM deserves another year. But if he doesn’t clean up some of this sloppy coaching messes, the leash needs to be shortened.

I think the coaches really suck. Players mostly suck. I would keep Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, Schultz, Collins, Beard 2.0, McGovern, Looney, Knight, Erving, Pollard, Lawrence, Gregory, Smith, LVE, Thomas, Diggs, Wilson, Lewis, Brown, Greg the Leg, Gallimore, Anae, A Woods, Dak, DaNoooooch.

So less than half the roster. I think the guys I listed are solid although some are career depth guys.

I have no problem with MM. He'll get min three years from me. Starting to think maybe he's using this year take notes and evaluate since CV19 robbed him of any several months of offseason training. My guess, he will truly start molding the team with his kind of players after the season, especially the D, where we could see as many as 5-6 new starters IMO.

The Giants had three players in the Pro Bowl last year and one of them was the Placekicker. Dallas is missing three players just from their offense that went to the Pro Bowl last year, plus Dak Prescott plus Collins who should have been in the Pro Bowl plus Jarwin.

If you took six starters off the Giants offense Joe Judge would be winless.

I'm one who's okay with losing out for a high 1st round pick. But, I don't want a QB. Just pay Dak. I went back and forth on this and I think he should be paid. I would like Penei Sewell, Patrick Surtain Jr., or Micah Parsons. I'll be happy with either those three.

You speak common sense. You speak the obvious. You speak the truth. What’s sad is how so many can’t see the obvious, they have no common sense and therefore they speak lies. Great post.
