If not for a 26 yard run yesterday, Zeke would have had 11 carries for 22 yards.

His decline is very concerning.

Should he be released in the offseason?

If we keep Zeke through March next year, we're guaranteeing his 2022 salary.
12.4mil gets Zeke for the next *two* seasons.

If Zeke worth 12.4mil total for the next 2 years?

I'd say no. Certainly his performance *this* year isn't worth that.

Offensive line hasn't been that bad despite all the injuries.

Plus explain to me why a RB who is paid top money at his position needs a top 5 line to be successful.
Zeke needs holes to part open like the Red Sea because he can’t create anything on his own.

I guess I'm a minority but Zeke decline has more to do MM and scheme than talent. His numbers don't surprise me at all.......if you look back at MM tenure with the Packers, it's not hard to see RBs are not heavily involved in his scheme. Hell, remember the first presser he only promised Zeke X number of TOUCHES, not carries. So yea, Zeke is way overvalued in this offense but I don't see any way he's NOT back 2021.

I still think biggest issue with run game is the OC and his style of offense. The line is basically 2nd and 3rd teamers. Moore should have lit the Bengals up in the running game but neither back good do anything. Zeke does look like he needs to do more quick twitch exercises in off season.

Hmm...didn't know this. If it's true, I think they take a long look at biting the bullet and releasing him.

Nah we're stuck with him next year but the good news is that he'll be better next year and it won't sting as bad as it does now.

He might need good blocking at this point in his career but most likely we'll be able to provide that next year so it's ok. Just make it through 2021 and re-assess in a year.

It's not ideal but the contract was signed and here we are.

Pretty sure you will find a strong correlation between poor RB performance and 3rd string offensive lines....

That same OL kept Dalton protected just fine.
Can Zeke only be stellar when he has 4 All-Pros in front of him?
Is the OL to blame for Zeke gagging on a pitchfork and coughing up the ball time after time?

Zeke is not a team leader and cannot carry a team to victory. Turns out more times than not that the team has to drag his lazy, overpaid rear end to victory.

No the cap hit is stupid next year, might as well keep him

Technically his 2022 salary becomes guaranteed if he's on the roster at the start of next season so if you're committed to him in 2021 then you're committed to him in 2022.

He's still pretty young so I would bet on a bounce back year. However, if he can't get it done in 2021 then you draft someone in 2022 to compete with him and move on in 2023.
