I happened to be looking at boy wonders career stats and I sure do have to hand it to him he has it all figured out.

Year 1 0 sacks
Year 2 8 sacks
Year 3 1 sack

Uh oh we got a contract year what comes next?

Year 4 14.5 sacks

Boom baby pay the man. Not so fast D Law maybe this was a fluke. Franchise tag for you.

Year 5 10.5 sacks

OK fine here is the massive deal you have been looking for.

Year 6 5 sacks
Year 7 4.5 sacks

I will leave it up to you guys to interpret the data however you want.

Dude was hurt early. But yeah. Ignore that. You don't watch the games apparently.

Also, let's ignore how he made Quinn rich last year. Playing across from Dlaw, 11.5 sacks. Playing across from Khalil Mack, 1.0 sacks.

you really should not judge him completely based on one stat. He does more than a lot notice.

The problem is we don’t pay him to perform like a grunt.:

He is paid to cause havoc and hit the QB.

We’re trying to win a Super Bowl.. That is the goal..

You can’t keep giving Great contracts to good players.
Fair point. However, in a 4-9 year is the wick turned all the way up? ;) If Dallas was 9-4 there might be more effort. I could be wrong.

Just another bad contract in a sea of bad contracts giving out by the franchise formerly known as the Dallas Cowboys.

But don’t worry.. Even with all these bad contracts we can still just pay Dak and not see any consequences of these contracts or even him not being good enough to validate his deal..

Just draft defense. Thats all you gotta do.

A very good player, but not a great player. It would be a mistake to build a DEF around him as the focal point, rather he is one piece of that DEF

He hasn’t been the same player since he caught the carrot that was out in front of him.

Dlaw was a monster there for awhile. I won’t take that from him.

Now it’s hard to notice if he’s even playing.

I just think players get so much money now days that once you give a man 100 million dollars it’s hard for a guy with that much money to do what it took to get them that contract.

He'd make a tremendous 3-4 DE.

As a 4-3 pass rushing DE, he is middle of the road.

The Zoners love Rudy cause he’s a try hard guy. Stats are irrelevant

And he’s now the player teams are game planning to stop on the Dline. Also take into account 3 of A Smiths sacks and one by Gregory were directly created by pressure created by him. Airman harped on it for 5 minutes on Smith’s 2 earlier in the season. Also taken into account he’s missing sacks because the 3techs have created virtually no push giving the QBS the space to step up. Trying to say he got payed and quit is simplistic as he plays his *** off! Put a 3tech out there that is better than serviceable and he probably an 8 to 10 sack a year player!

So does this mean we're tiring of piling on Jaylon? So we go back to the rotation I guess.

DLaw
Dak
One of the non-All-Pro OL members
Zeke
Random secondary guy since we no longer have Heath
Jaylon

All richer than you as well. Don't leave that out of the interpretation equation. Lol.

People talk out of their butt all the time. Lawrence is a really good player.

He has value outside of sacks.

Sacks are not his only assignment. They are the majority of what gets you a paycheck, but not the only thing.

I thought it was a huge paycheck for a RDE, but he got it. So, if you are going to complain about him, you need to compare him to all other RDE's, and I am guessing he is up near the top.

Having a bad secondary and bad run defense (which Dlaw is not a contributor) is detrimental to getting sacks.

Some DE's are on good defenses, and that helps them to get sacks
