meh young talent you give em a 2nd chance you don't just hang your hopes on it.
I suspect there is more to the situation
14 million guaranteed and you cut him before he could even finish his second season
That doesn’t happen just because a guy isn’t ready to play. That’s because of something else

Haskins wanted out of there and didnt care about the team. He hated it when they drafted him.

wasn't our problem honestly.

Why? He’s from the area. It was likely his downfall not getting away

Yeh rivera didn't want him before he ever even met him. Hence him bringing in kyle allen from carolina immediately. Then coming out and saying he isn't fully backing haskins at qb. If you live in the corporate world that means I brought this guy here to take your job and will do what I can to make it happen.
If it was just he wasn’t his guy he would have tried to trade him, kept him and got a comp pick
Cutting a guy with guaranteed money before he even finished his second season has to be more than he just wasn’t his guy

Yeah.. I’m not scared to draft them and I think they’re becoming easier to find.. We found a 4th rounder that you guys seem to like pretty well.

The better the OL, the more successful the QB. In general, we have a good OL. That's why I believe that we can draft a QB and have reasonable expectations of success. I've said this over and over again, the strength of this team is not the QB or the RB or the WRs or the Defense. It is the OL and has been for several years now. If we drafted a Wilson or a Lawrence or a Lance, any of those three would eventually make our fan base forget Dak IMO. Heck, I even think that Fields could end up being pretty good in Dallas if given the time to develop. There are a couple a little later in the draft that could probably succeed as well, IMO.

It's all about the OL.........

Yep..

Oline is going down hill quick though.

Tyron is good when healthy but misses too much..

La’el Collins.. Who knows at the extent of that injury and before 2019 he wasn’t regarded as highly as he is now.

Martin is amazing.

Connor Williams is solid but I’d prefer more of a Leary type inside and not someone so finesse..

I haven’t done a long look at that Oregon Tackle but if he’s as good as they say I wish we could’ve gotten him and not worry about Chas Young as much over the next decade.

I'm not as concerned with the OL as others are. I mean, I agree on LT. I think Smith is a matter of time but I think Collins will miraculously get better once we are on the other side of this Covid stuff. I think Williams is going to get better and better but I also think we have two guys who could easily become just as good at guard. I am honestly more concerned with Martin, as good as he is. Sewell is likely gone before we pick, for sure but honestly, I like Darrisaw better anyhow.

Yeah they are so easy to find. The only ones of note out of how many drafted are mahomes Murray and Watson and maybe burrow haven’t seen enough from him yet. And that’s only going back 5 years. So out of how many drafted. 4 have been hits. Lol. So easy you’re right.
Hows beathard doing ? Still outplaying mahomes?

Where did you find so much misinformation. Are you on the WFT staff? How do you know he was lazy with the playbook?

There are multiple articles about it if you care to look. Ill give you one.

https://www.nbcsports.com/washingto...or-study-and-practice-habits-led-his-benching

You mentioned that it was no big deal that he was at the private party for his girlfriend with the strippers....except for the fact by doing so he basically exposed his entire team to whatever the strippers might have had...because we know strippers are clean and don't engage in risky behavior. It was moronic.

The majority of starting QBs in this league are first rounders.

That was a Jimmy Johnson move by Ron Rivera.
Good for the coach. They say he's one of the more upstanding people in the NFL.
He's a solid HC, not great but solid.
I can't see Washington losing to the Eagles Sunday night unfortunately for us. The eagles players will lay down because they know it's over for them. Doug Peterson and Howie Roseman are both on the hot seat with the Philadelphia fan base but are they with Jeffrey Lurie after winning a super bowl in 2017 and a division title in 2019?
Next Monday could be very interesting in Philly depending on how the eagles finish up their season.

Them QBs for the Iggles will be playing balls out...they want that starting job next year. I don't see them laying down one bit.

Exactly, you can't exactly dial 1-800-Quarterback and expect a starting QB to come immediately. There's no Modern Warfare QB Care package. We lucked into Romo and Dak.

Genuine oversight I hope. If not....poor taste make a pun like that.

No I'm not making a crack about Rivera's health. Im sure there's a better term to describe a player (not the coach) who does nothing but bring a team down. I just dont know what it is. Far as Rivera goes I hope the best for his health, and the worst for his team.

I remember all those melt down videos from Giants fans for taking Jones over Haskins.
They dodged a bullet there.
i do not know if the giants have dodged the bullet yet. so far jones is not a franchise qb to me. he really struggled yesterday. has only looked great in a couple of games the rest he has played he has looked rather lost and average. if the giants win sunday it will be there defense that wins the game i will be surprised if jones can put up over 350 and more then three touchdowns.

I wonder if playing like trash and going to a strip club in a pandemic after a loss while being in a playoff race had anything to do with it.

This guy's career is done.

Not even sad for him. He's truly pathetic.
haskins will get another chance i just hope that the jones do not sign him. haskins was down right awful against the seahawks and panthers. a high school qb can read defenses better then he can.

Most had Haskins ranked 1 or 2 headed into the draft. For those wanting to draft a QB to replace Dak, Haskins is an example of how bad a team can miss.

Buyer be warned that Ohio State QBs over the last few decades don't usually work out in the NFL. Does that impact Fields? Did we dodge a bullet not tanking and ending up with Fields?
Yep. The consensus from most draft analysts was Haskins was the most pro-ready QB in that draft.
