Probably the right outcome. They looked terrible today. That last series - missed blocking assignment by Terence Steele, dropped pass by Lamb, INT on 3rd down - was the Cowboys season in 3 plays.
How many times this year have we seen Steele let the DE get a free run at the QB? It seems to happen once a game at least. The drop by Lamb was awful. He would not have scored but it would have been 3rd and goal from about 4 or 5 yard line. The INT by Dalton was really bad. He had to get outside of the tackle and run to the sideline or throw it away.
On the fumble recovered by the Giants, again, perfect microcosm of the Cowboys season. Guy drops the ball and no one is around to recover it.
The Cowboys injuries were just too much to overcome, especially the injury at QB, but having to play Terence Steele and Brandon Knight at the OTs all season was a killer too.
