Unpopular opinion..

Our offense sucks.

Slow starts, penalties, and incredibly bad play calls at times.. It's overrated.

When the OL and Zeke were rolling we had an offense that could just go take games from people.

2018 it looked good after we acquired Cooper but Garretts predictability made us too EZ to defend.


Can they get some nice stats? Sure.. But can we go to Pittsburgh and win a game with it?

What about 2019? We got nothing against the Saints, PAtriots, and Eagles.

Our offense has potential but they pad their overall stats and the Macro looks good.

Are we at 20 games in a run without an opening drive TD?

How many times did we play with a lead for the first 2 months of this season?

If the defense and special teams did their job maybe the Cowboys wouldn't be forced to score on every single possession they get......

Its crazy though.....Romo got paid TWICE...no questions asked despite his lack of playoff appearances or success......now the bar is Dak has to get there 3 out of 4 times.......wow.

Side note, but I heard The Fan the other morning absolutely ripping Jerry to shreds. Even brought up how he still felt inadequate as a football man because of Jimmy after all these years.

Is that normal? I was pretty surprised they were that harsh, being the Official Station and all. Jerry can't have been happy if he heard that.

It was Dak that completely blew out chances at the playoffs in 2017 and it was Dak who almost completely blew out chances at the playoffs in 2018.. Cooper on the other hand saved 2018..

I think everyone just views them as a complete joke because they never make real changes.

They say the same company lines and use the same strategy year after year after year.

I think everyone has just had enough of their crap.

These radio stations are in contact with their fans more than ever so they probably feel more accountable when they get direct feedback. When Jerry gets on the radio and BS's and most of their feedback is negative they can't just ignore it.

I'll say though.. I thought the Oline coach did well for what he had. The Arizona & Washington game were awful but for what they had I thought it was ok.

Why in my personal opinion signing Dak to a huge contract is a horrible idea and will only hurt the team in the future. Don't get me wrong dak is a great quarterback(not elite) and if the Cowboys were closer to being competitive for years to come i would have no problem keeping him on a team friendly contract.

However the Cowboys are not a "quarterback" or a "couple players" away from being competitive. The defense bar a couple of players needs a complete rebuild(plus coach) which will take years to accomplish. Then we have to deal with the aging OL that is trending down. Plus zeke is a mystery st this point.

Dak and the cowboys unfortunately would be better off splitting ways for both of their futures. Honestly if i was Dak I wouldn't come back to this dumpster fire. If he's truly about winning several teams that would love him and actually have tools in place for playoff runs.

Would suck to see him go but at this point we need an entire rebuild. Horrible idea to dump huge money into a franchise quarterback like Dak

Dak has never had elite money. Come to think of it, at 2 million per season over his first 4 years he has to be one of the biggest bargains in the NFL during that time.

Green Bay has made the playoffs 8 of last 10 years. The only 2 they didn't make it were McCarthy's final 2 seasons..

New Orleans has made it the last 4 years and 6 out of the last 10.

Seattle has only missed the playoffs 1 time with Russell Wilson.

Tom Brady has made the playoffs 10 out of the last 10 years. It's been awhile until since Tampa has been to the playoffs

Mahomes has went 3 years in a row.

Historically bad defense isn't going to get to the playoffs nearly every year. IMO, this really isn't about Dak or not, but about how we seem to go high risk high reward on defense, year in and year out, with many projected starters missing time either from injury, behavior, or mental health.

We've spent a lot of money on offense and very little on defense. That has to change.
