that doesn't mean their trending down, with the depth behind the starters some might say they're trending up

Yeah if you’re Jerry Jones you might say it’s trending up.

But in the real world our best players are becoming less reliable and aging.

Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Ben and Wilson quarterbacked teams have managed to consistently lead their teams to the playoffs over the last decade. Did they miss a year or 2, possibly, but usually no more than 2 years in a row and then resumed a better than 50% playoff participation rate over the duration of their careers

I thought these type levels of performance had a direct correlation to the paycheck earned.

Not this fallacy or myth passed off as market value.

They touch every snap. They hold the largest accountability/responsibility/ blame for wins and losses and should be paid according to how they lead their teams, especially against playoff competition.

The current starter is 9-11 in his last 20 starts.
Regardless of coach, covid, injuries or defense.
The current HC is 17-26-1 in his last 44 games.

The time for excuses has run out.
Hold the BOTH of these 2 responsible based on the titles(HC and starting QB) they hold.

One last mulligan, franchise tag, 2021 NFCCG bare minimum. If not, see ya to both.

I heard this on my lunch break.. Good stuff.

Some facts.

Green Bay has made the playoffs 8 of last 10 years. The only 2 they didn't make it were McCarthy's final 2 seasons..

New Orleans has made it the last 4 years and 6 out of the last 10.

Seattle has only missed the playoffs 1 time with Russell Wilson.

Tom Brady has made the playoffs 10 out of the last 10 years. It's been awhile until since Tampa has been to the playoffs

Mahomes has went 3 years in a row.

This is why you pay the elite guys and let the not so elites walk if they want elite money.

Wow, 2 TROLL threads in one day. That’s just a tiny bit above your average.

Who the hell is K&C Masterpiece? I thought they did BBQ sauce?

Yep..

People think we're just a couple drafts away or whatever.. Build a defense.

Meanwhile the OL is trending down.

I'll say though.. I thought the Oline coach did well for what he had. The Arizona & Washington game were awful but for what they had I thought it was ok.

here is the fact

a team with an elite QB is always one off season away from making the playoffs

a team without an elite QB is “rebuilding “

Dak is not an elite QB

Unpopular opinion..

Our offense sucks.

Slow starts, penalties, and incredibly bad play calls at times.. It's overrated.

When the OL and Zeke were rolling we had an offense that could just go take games from people.

2018 it looked good after we acquired Cooper but Garretts predictability made us too EZ to defend.

Can they get some nice stats? Sure.. But can we go to Pittsburgh and win a game with it?

What about 2019? We got nothing against the Saints, PAtriots, and Eagles.

Our offense has potential but they pad their overall stats and the Macro looks good.

Are we at 20 games in a row without an opening drive TD?

How many times did we play with a lead for the first 2 months of this season?
Listen, no one can argue against your claims of lack of success for the team. But if you think it’s all Daks fault then you’re a delusional hater and an ignorant Troll.

This is such a dumb standard....people pick and chose when they want to use the W/L record as a QB stat. When it works in their favor its a QB stat. When its use to make Dak look bad its "teams win games not one player".

Its a silly argument. Fact is, build a solid team around him just like the Packers have and just like the Saints have and maybe he would make the playoffs.

As we can see from this terrible team.....Dak didn't inherit a good team or a good coaching staff...he succeed in spite of it.

then why invest so heavy in a qb if he has to have so many pieces around to succeed? the more u pay a qb the harder it is to build up the rest of the roster. if a qb cant elevate every one around them and raise a team floor by himself then it is a waste of finite resource.

jerry blabbering about the salary cap and pie is all true.

I think a lot of it had to do with Andy Dalton getting the ball out quickly he design, more so the OL, though it got more consistent. There were only 3 QBs outside Dalton that were getting the ball out quicker since week 11. Dalton threw less play action in 11 games than Dak did in 5. Even when blocking, such as in the Giants game, they were getting pushed back into the pocket, not even holding ground.

This is why I think Dak was lucky, otherwise he would have gotten completely exposed in this OL context. This was not, Dak sit back there, run deep routes and throw all the time off play action OL context. When Andy first started and Martin was out, all defenses did was blitz from what I saw.
Excellent post yet it will fly over people's heads because it doesn't fit their narrative.

Hell ask the Chiefs why the surrounded Mahomes with so much talent.....they are the ones who paid Tyreke Hill and Kelce big money....then paid Sammy Watkins big money....used a 1st round on CEH and then still signed Leveon Bell. Paid Chris Jones big money....traded a 1st and 3rd for Frank Clark and gave him 105 million.......Then went on to give Mahomes a 503 million dollar contract.t So why does Mahomes need so many pieces around him to succeed? Gotta ask the Chiefs and Andy Reid that one. And while you're at it ask the Packers about Aaron Rodger and all the help he needs.

There’s been several franchise QB who were paid but haven't made the playoffs consistently.

Guys like Ryan , Stafford, Carr , Romo and Cousins for example come to mind to name a few who recently were paid some of the top contracts at the time they signed.

How many play-off wins or runs did Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Russell Wilson have before they got their long term deals?

which is why you have the your backups who gained great experience and will continue to get better. Your negativity won't change that.

You're a Wentz fan, your opinion on QBs doesn't mean much.
The Dak Hater Gold Standard fell from grace.. now they ignore anything that ever happened before 2017 season....
:lmao2::lmao2:
They always used Eye Test stuff like "big game throws" or "carry a Team" or "Elite QBs teams don't rebuild" or ...all the usual dog whistles:muttley: now they use Stats
