I think it was a poor season, from some questionable calls, massive injuries along the OL, losing our starting QB and having to play 4 different players at the QB position and a shortened camp and no pre season. I'm sure some will look at this as excuses that is fine but I know how much each of these things can impact a team. In my view this was a season from hell and I expect much better from our coaches and players heading into the 2021 season

This is a tough one. I did not like Garrett so anyone was better.MM wasn’t my first choice. I wanted Meyer. That said MM has had some success so I was excited to see. All the injuries and the terrible defense made the season impossible to judge. I will say this I can’t remember more bad coaching decisions in a season. Whether it was bad 4th down calls, non challenges on bad calls, clock management, he had a bunch of them. To me that is a big negative. I will give him credit for keeping it together and making a late run. The Giant loss weighs heavy on me now. That game had a little of everything he did wrong all year.

I am in favor of 1, just 1,more year. He had to clean house on D. I am thinking no less than 5 new starters.

Talk about the worst possible situation to walk into! No offseason to implement anything. I mean no off season camps/training camp/preseason games or anything. Clearly it impacted the 2020 season more than expected. Then to lose so many players to injury. Add it up and the season was doomed. None of that was McCarthy's fault.

Really disappointing. I have no confidence we will be successful with him. Reasons:

1) Poor game management
2) Doesn't seem to be a great communicator
3) Has had to resort to stunts (water melons) for players to warm to him
4) Came in with a theory about what scheme he wanted to run on DEF and then abandoned this after one year, probably to keep ownership happy.
5) Has he the ability to evaluate his 53 and push for changes if needed?(Jaylon). Suspect not
6) Poor management of running game in terms of allocation of carries. Pollard should have got more than he did first 8 weeks of the season
7) Can't actually work out what he does well.

Probably other points but that's just without any real thought

What's everyone's take on MM's first year? I'm not sold on him personally, he made some boneheaded decisions for someone that's been a HC as long as he has...IMO

i think he should have been fired with Nolan.

complete disaster.

Daks injury probably saved him.

I think I will give him another year, but if it looks anything like this year, he's gone. I agree, that I was expecting a smarter game manager. I don't know how anybody could be sold on him at this point. Obviously the injuries on offense were devastating. The defense was brutal for most of the season. But to be fair, when I look back at my preseason predictions, I did say, I expect them to struggle in the first half of the season, with the new coaches on both side of the ball, besides Moore. I said they would go 3-5 or 4-4 in the first 8 games and 5-3 or 6-2 in the last 8 games and be a 9-10 win team. Give them Tyron and Dak all year and that's probably where they end up. He wasn't my top choice, but I did not hate the hire. Maybe the younger coaches, like Stefanski were better prepared to teach in a covid offseason.

He sucks, not surprised. I was never impressed with him and had a strong suspicion that his success was due to Rodgers and Favre, those suspicions were confirmed. His game management sucked, he took risks when he didn’t need to and didn’t take risks when he needed to. He literally looks lost on the sideline and trying to get grown men fired up by smashing a watermelon is comical.
