What do the Future QBs look like at Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and Notre Dame?

Assuming Fields leaves, Ohio St has two 4* freshman on their current roster, and a 5* coming in the 2021 class. In 2022 the #1 player in the country Quinn Ewers is coming. He is supposed to be the best QB prospect since Trevor Lawrence.

OSU had a great game plan--on both sides of the ball-- last week vs a team that came out somewhat flat and had a few holes.

Tonight, they were just overwhelmed.

No need to rub it in though....despite how obnoxious their fans were towards Clemson and Lawrence last week,

Bama was just clearly the best team in the country this year. Nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm a big OSU fan, and didn't think we would win even if we were 100% healthy. Once they announced their 2 best defensive players were out with Covid, I thought it could get ugly. Then Sermon on the first drive got hurt I knew it was over and it was going to get ugly.

Bama has looked like a semi pro team this season, really head and shoulders above the rest. OSU is a damn good team but going up against Bama it was a no contest after a qrt and a half. From that point on it was Bama game

Some college teams win based on sheer talent. This Alabama team is one of them.

Lose a receiver who had 215 yards and 3 tds, and just continue to rack up points. If a play doesn't work, just dial up another one and score or pile up first downs and yards. OSU had a couple of Alabama td plays figured out, but just couldn't make tackles or stops for 4th downs.

No team was beating Alabama this year...

Clemson, Ohio St, and Alabama all have 5 star guys ready to step in. The guy at Clemson is going to be crazy good.
Notre Dame does not have that level of talent at QB but they do get a decent transfer from Wisconcin.

Bama loses so much all over the roster, even with reload they might be vulnerable next year.

Honestly, next year might be the Big 12's best shot at winning their first title in 16 years
Oklahoma should be outstanding.

I think your call is correct. I remember early this season so many experts were proclaiming that LSU would just reload despite the huge losses. At a certain point it is rebuilding not reloading. Alabama might be on that path next season - they have been very fortunate in their QB play up till now. for the first time in years I do not see a great QB at Alabama. Add to the other losses and I think for the first time they take a real step back.

My pick is Clemson next season based on potential QB play. But I do agree OK has a shot if they can build some kind of a D.

Yup. Expand the playoffs, and some of those studs will go to other teams and even things out.

I think the playoffs have very little to do with recruiting. And frankly I think 6 teams would be the max you should have. After that I defy you to find a year where there were more legitimate contenders then that who were pretty much all equal.

I do NOT want to devalue the playoffs like so many professional sports have done. The NBA and NHL are flat stupid; having that many teams make the playoffs devalues both the playoffs and the regular season. The NFL is getting real close to that now.

A lot of local folks here were a bit defensive about LSU's fall off this year, oft quoting the "we lost 14 starters to the NFL"
Well Alabama lost 9 starters to the NFL and looky looky - another title.

If you have the pipeline of talent Alabama does losing players to the NFL just slows the train down, it doesn't stop it.

Just due to the difficulty of repeating I don't see Alabama winning it all again next year, but they certainly have to be one of the favorites...

I think you are completely not understanding what a playoff system would do for recruiting.
