I am not sure posters here are aware of just how religious right wing HOU has become which is one of the main reasons Watson wants out. They have some crazy things going on behind the scenes and if that continues, this is blowing up in their face with the league office.
That Easterby character over there is kind of frightening.

WAS has built a good young team.
But they need a QB and then some help on O.
I am guessing they come out of this off-season with a QB but a lot of the discussed options aren't as good as a healthy Alex Smith.

It might make everyone laugh but a re-marriage of Kirk Cousins and WAS would be hilarious and make sense from a pure football standpoint.

Truth is after Watson which HOU swears they aren't trading the options lose appeal fast.
Cam? Uh Rivera had enough of that and benched him.
Winston? Interesting concept but the WFT doesn't have the weapons for a gunslinger imho.
Jimmy G? I mean if they wanna rehab an oft-injured guy why not just stick with Alex Smith??
Derek Carr? That one is interesting. Solid mid-tier starter. Did bad team hold him back or was holding back the team? I admittedly downrate him a bit for how Amari rose from the ashes once he was paired with Dak.

Do not, and I repeat, do not sleep on them pulling off the Watson trade.....they certainly have a couple of young defensive starters they could offer. Either way, it sounds like our biggest fear of them getting a legit QB will likely happen.

Washington being aggressive for Stafford makes more sense than the Panthers. I believe with Stafford as their quarterback they would be the heavy favorites in the division next year even with a healthy Dak Prescott returning to the Dallas Cowboys. This team has a great defense and some nice talent at the skill positions. With their pick in the draft being so low (19th overall), I expect them to be aggressive in acquiring a free agent quarterback this offseason. Obviously, Washington will be in the mix for Watson, but if they fail to win the bidding for him, there are some other options out there that could make sense. Free agents Cam Newton and Jameis Winston would be upgrades over what they currently have. The team could also make some calls on players like Raiders backup Marcus Mariota, or the Jets' Sam Darnold. One wild card I could see is if the 49ers decide to move on from Jimmy Garoppolo, as he would be a natural fit in this offensive system and wouldn’t be asked to do a lot of the heavy lifting with a strong defense and running game.

Every time I see W F T, my mind reads it as W T F. Am I the only one?

Nope........

And I mean it's Washington so it's almost like there is a subliminal message there, going off in your head like a 100 foot neon road sign, leading you down that path.

Too much has been made out of his no trade. He wants out of Houston badly apparently so his list of teams is pretty vast. I think he'd have interest playing for Rivera in a division that is weak and Washington could rule.

Yeah right...he's going to force his way out and go to a team that he wants to go to..

Right now I really don't care about speculation about who may be QB in Washington next season. I don't get some people here who feel the need to start threads on what is just speculation about other teams.

I am pretty confident Little Danny will screw up any progress the team is making. Kind of like what Big Jerrah does in Big D.

ive seen articles that have said the same

He had to stay in the background because of the allegations they had against him, but once those are settled they expect him to come back into decision making

Man, just seeing the value of the Stafford and what Watson is going to command, what could you really expect if they traded Dak w/ the tag.

I find it interesting that so many here are contemplating about other teams QB situation when our OWN TEAM has yet to figure out what the heck to do with our QB position.

Is he the spiritual adviser?

I am a spiritual adviser. You would be surprised to know how many seek my advice.

Why? To us the grass on the other side isn't just greener, it stays lit better.

Snyder has pretty much turned the entire operation of his the over to Rivera. In his words, Rivera in charge of changing the entire culture of the team. From my understanding, Rivera pretty much has a blank check to rebuild the team as he sees fit. Besides, Snyder has his own problems now (lol) .......legal and personal.

I know that this will probably shock you but Washington has a GM and an executive vice president of football/player personnel that I think still out rank Rivera. Rivera may be the one that can/will change the culture but he'll still have to do it with the players he's given.

What is this about? What is going on behind the scenes that is making Watson wanting to leave?

henike looked better than most of the qb's u guys are mentioning.
Watson isnt worth including any def players like young. Watson is good not great, and he is expensive.
I would give a # 1 pick for 2021 draft and that is it.

Stafford was the right for for them. Watson would make sense, too, if they can swing it somehow. That team would be dangerous with a QB.

The new Washington GM Martin Mayhew reports directly to Rivera.
