It was not a sure td even though aikman said it was, the safety was coming over.
peppers came from behind because the great zack martin whiffed on his block of peppers and wound up on the ground.
Murray had a broken hand and really I would have played randle that game as he had 2 good hands and was fresh.

zack got absolutely pantsed on that play. Damn shame

Not only was a safety coming over who would
Have easily been able to track him down, Ha Ha was in the secondary waiting for him, too. Aikman grossly over-exaggerated the call in the booth on that play. It would have been a huge gain and put us 1st & 10 in field goal range though.

No way in hell does a safety tackle Demarco in the open field at full speed.

Aikman even said on the broadcast if Peppers hadn't made that play, Murray hits his head on the goal post. Romo audibled brilliantly and they had exactly what they wanted.
A safety was chasing him on the play and Ha Ha was waiting in the secondary. Aikman exaggerated his commentary. Adrian Peterson or Barry Sanders may have scored on that play. Neither Murray or Zeke would have because they are both terrible in the open field.

Murray fumbled on a sure touchdown in the 2014 Divisional Round. His almost 1,900 yards during the season don't mean squat to me.

Zeke is a clown.

I'll take Emmitt.

Dude great post. I'm not sure if the fumble is the same as the one I am remembering, but it was huge. Gaping hole and he had miles to run. Some zombie on the defensive line stuck his hand out and caused the fumble which was the turning point in that game. Was it Rice? Either way, I'm convinced Dallas wins that game if that doesn't happen.

I like both players but 2014 is one of my favorite seasons as a fan. I honestly believed that was the year and a large part was due to the oline and Murray’s play

Don’t forget Murray also did mentor Derrick Henry before he jumped as starter
Demarco Murray for sure . Speed , positive attitude, and versatility, much better hands than butter fingers zeke .

This one isnt even close. Demarco Murray was not only a better RB, but he was a class act. Cost the Cowboys a 3rd round pick I think?

I honestly think what separates the two is that Murray was more team oriented than Zeke

I liked Murray, there was a lot less headache and drama.

Zeke.

Murray was soft. Avoided contact for years. Left a lot of yards on the field, ran out of bounds way too early. Leaving meat on the bone as it was said.
2014 he toughed up, stayed in bounds, took the hit or gave the hit more times than he ever done before. Actually it was the 1st time I ever seen him do it.

And fans on here whine about Zeke sitting out a play or 2 after he has been on the field for 20 plays. Which may not be all his doing. That is on the coaches.
But at least Zeke NEVER shied away from contact. He GIVES contact.

After Murray left, he did nothing in Philly, and did ok in Tennessee, and was already getting worn down. I liked Murray, except when he ran out of bounds. But give me Zeke.
Yes, Zeke, as all RB's run out of bounds at time. But it is a rarity for Zeke.

The only headaches and drama about Zeke is from the media and the fans. Especially Cowboys fans.
he has had several issues. got sued. got into a car accident. got caught going into a dispensary in denver. then the hold out, going to Mexico. he has been one drama after another....

Initially I would have said Zeke, because of Murray fumbling issues, but Zeke has now got the fumbleitis.

Demarco would fall down with no defender on sight just because he was tired...

Zeke just sucks now a days.

Both in their prime I’ll take rookie Zeke. But Demarco was a better blocker and unlike Zeke he would pick up short yardage no matter what.
