He was the one that was whining and throwing tantrums every year he get passed over.

Personally, no, I dont believe he deserved to get it. It would set a very low bar for getting in. Now they are going to have a lot more recievers whining to get it with much better numbers.
Show cites of this or shut your mouth you Philthy troll

DeMarcus Ware will be eligible for the next Pro Football HOF enshrinement class. I’m not sure he’s a first ballot- although he should be- I doubt he’s in his first year of eligibility. We will see. His credentials are impeccable. All 2000s All Decade team, 4 time All Pro, 9 time pro bowler, led the NFL in sacks in 2008 and 2010, and was a 2 time Butkus award winner

And, Darren Woodson is past due IMO. The Cowboys all time leading tackler was a first team All Pro 4 times, which is rare air for any player and a 5 time pro bowler. A member of the Cowboys ROH, has 3 SB rings (remember those?) and was the 2002 winner of the Bart Starr Award for outstanding character. He’s overdue to be in Canton.

Jason Witten will be eligible by 2026 and is a shoo in too. Probably first ballot. I would think Zack Martin has a great shot to be in Canton someday if he can stay healthy. Maybe Tyron Smith but his injuries the last few years have derailed what was a promising direction to the HOF.

We need some guys to start measuring up in the near future or we may have the longest HOF drought we have ever seen. Time will tell.

Tony Romo is gonna eventually be going in to.
He's a very popular Cowboys member and he has padded stats,

Lynch played longer and has almost twice as many pro bowl appearances. The back halfs of their careers are completely different - Woodson's pro bowls came in our best seasons when we were placing tons of starters in the probowl. He didn't sniff the probowl in his final five seasons. Lynch, on the other hand, put in a string of four straight probowl appearances to end his career.

Lynch played longer and was good for longer. Woodson had several good seasons but a good number of pedestrian ones.

I'd like to hear from Rick Goose Gosslein as he's been one of the HOF on the voters committee as to why Lynch over Woodson, but I'd be willing to bet they place emphasis on the
INT numbers and turnovers than value of slot coverage.

Ware is 1st ballot.

Woodson is not deserving. Three all pros is not a HOF career. All of y'alls gotta get over this. It isn't anti-Cowboy bias. He's just not worthy. Good god. Compare him to Ed Reed. Reed had like 64 picks. Woodson 23. He just doesn't stack up against modern safeties.
Woodson is a very good player but the amount of people screaming cowboys bias and the system is rigged is laughable like you said

Secondary and interior offensive line are always the hardest positions to get in Canton. If you're not polamalu or Reed or champ Bailey level accolades then you're definitely not secure and it's an extreme uphill battle.

Hell look at Eric weddle. All decade team, 6x pro bowler, 2x 1st team all pro, 3x 2nd team all pro, 29 interceptions. His accolades are arguably just as good if not better than Darren's and yet you will NEVER hear a single person refer to weddle as a hall of famer........ (Cowboy homers won't want to hear that because that doesn't fit their narrative that Canton is biased towards them)

Woodson has a good case to make it in. But it's probably would be from playing for the 90s Cowboys.

I think some people get too hung up on numbers and forget the player’s impact on the game. I mean Pearson was clearly considered one of the best WRs of the 1970s and he has his hands in many iconic moments. You really think they should have left him out and the all decade team should have stayed like this?

he played on great teams with a great QB surrounded by immense talent.

Wow. You've never seen anyone get emotional in the moment? He's waited decades and knows he's running out of time. Plus you realize the reason he had to retire was a car accident that claimed the life of his brother. Maybe this means a lot to him. Of course internet trolls these days lack any sort of empathy.

How many guys complain every year like he does? How many guys cry that their heart was broken? Its almost like begging them to let you in. Begging seems like the wrong way to do it.

But alas, we now live in a society that coddles cry babies. Cry that your not being treated well and get whatever you want. Participation trophies. :lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao:

And, I have zero empathy for cry babies.

Woody and Leroy Butler had essentially been canceling each other's votes out for HOF votes for best safeties of the 90s.

This year, for the first time, Leroy Butler advanced to the final 15.

If Woodson gets it, it might have to be <after> Butler gets in given the way the current HOF voters looked at Butler vs Woodson this year.

IMHO neither Woodson or Butler are HOF worthy.
Forget both Butler and Woody and put in the Cowboys S that has more accomplishments than both put together...
Cornell Green should be in the Cowboys Ring of Honor and the NFL Hall of Fame. Name me the player that never played organized football until he suited up for the Dallas Cowboys and made NFL All Rookie Team. No one else but Cornell Green.

Why are you giving us his college basketball accolades in order to boost him up for the NFL hall of fame?

I’m tired of Woodson getting screwed.

Lynch before Woodson? What a friggin joke

Lynch had 26 career INT’s compared to 23 INTs for Woodson. Lynch had 16 forced fumbles compared to 12 forced fumbles for Woody and Lynch played for one of the great defenses we’ve seen in 2002.
