Goodell deserves much credit for not only steering the league thru this seasons pandemic but really the most difficult era Id argue in NFL history as it continue to transcend with the times including all of the issues it’s confronted with in society.

I know he’s received criticism for his disciplinary actions of players but that’s a critical part of the success he’s been able to achieve overcoming theses social unrest the league and its players have encountered which has divided some of our fans as they have walked away as a result.

But he’s stayed the course protecting the Iconic label and its owners interest. And every decision in the long run appears the right decision for the league.

But the way he handled this pandemic with strict guidelines fining HC’s for not wearing mask initially and the protocols to avoid not cancelling any games which no other league can claim is truly remarkable.

He’s going to be an early lock for HOF. And history is going to reflect generously on him perhaps before he’s done surpassing Rozelle as greatest Commish ever.

Yea, I said it here first.
He is a walking POS Who has done more to ruin the game than anyone in league history.

Ty, you are way too smart to fall for the owner's manipulation of giving you a fall guy. It's not Roger doing all those things you are referring to, it's the owners.

Good god man, it's not all the owners. There was an election process and it took 5 ballots before he got a two thirds majority. That was in 2006. Now he's completely out of control and he's got the owners by the balls!

Mahomes vs Brady was the marquee matchup. Spin all you like but that game should have been a big draw. The NFL is in big trouble.

spin? I could care less about the leagues revenue. It was boring teams (chiefs wouldn’t have been boring if it weren’t for the injuries) from boring towns with another Brady experience. Total yawnfest

Disagree.....went from players hating him to coddling complainers and people disrespecting the flag. He’s a puppet. Needs to go.

The owners are more united in support of Goodell than ever. His leadership has guided them thru the most contentious and turmoil eras in NFL history.

Disgruntled fans anger is misdirected at Goodell who’s job it is to deflect public responsibility from the owners he represents. Fans must remember he represents the owners not the players. He does their bidding and dirty work.

Owners can remove him at any time with 75% vote. Which is 24 of the 32 teams.

Goodell is the equivalent of Marvin Tikva.

agree. Its a watered down parody of itself. A BIT CANNED AND SCRIPTED.
But that’s on the owners. The Commish simply represents the owners.

The NFL is a league of 32 owners not 1 Commish. It’s his job to negotiate on their behalf.

And instead they give him a raise.

thanks for the lesson . I understand how it works. Truth is Goodell missed an opportunity to hold owners more accountable. He took the easy pay day and was culled. That is the point. Money over quality of the game I guess.

ahh NO...Not in this case. Guess its all about from the perspective.
The only pertinent perspective is that of the owners.

The fans perspective is misdirected at the Commish instead of the owners which illustrates how great of job he’s doing . And why the owners rewarded him.

It’s not his job to make the owners accountable. They are his boss.
