They had to trade him if they wanted to get rid of him. Trading him saved them $800K against the cap this year. If they had cut him pre-June 1, they would have had an additional $24 million in cap charges this year (above the $33 million they already have to take).

There was no chance they were going to cut Wentz.

Correction they couldn't cut him, but the Colts were bidding against themselves, as we got nearer to March the price was dropping. If I was an Eagles fan I would be very happy tonight

Won a SB as in Philly. Has been coaching good offenses for the last 7 seasons with second tier QBs. His work last year after losing Andrew Luck was remarkable. If you were starting a team and wanted a top OC or an offensive minded HC he wouldn’t be in your top 2 or 3 choices?

OH LORD, Colin has had this fantasy man crush love affair for some reason , on Wentz since he came into the league. Its astounding why or how this guy gets the love he gets when he hasn't done anything of note outside of his rookie year. I never will understand why this guy gets all the mulligans he gets. If this were Dak I highly doubt that would be the case. LOTS of Dallas baked in hatred in the media.
