Front office decision-makers with no fear of being fired have no hot seat.
Did you not notice I said "hot seat with fans", not "hot seat with employer". Losing support from fans may not matter but it is my point and miles away from yours.

Tre Boston should just get a pimped out Motor Coach to live in with how often he has to relocate.

In comparison, Xavier Woods had 72 tackles, 0 interceptions and 1 pass deflection this season.

To be fair, that was one seriously spirited pass deflection. It broke some QBs mentally and they never even tested Woods like they did Tre Boston.

Sign immediately. Unless he wants a fortune, then don't.

68 tackles, 3 interceptions and a career high 11 pass deflections this season. 28 years old.
That is too many positive stats for a Dallas safety. He is over-qualified for the position.

Boston is better than Woods, but we've never been interested him in any of the twelve million times he's been a free agent.
There has never been any true interests in upgrading the safety position as the failure to inquire about Boston over the years indicates.

They save 8.5 million in cap over the next two years, but it seems there'd be more to it

Maybe they are clearing cap room for a gargantuan QB trade. Who knows. Maybe they just need to get under the $180M cap.

If, and that’s a huge IF.....if the Cowboys and Quinn are serious about a safety, it will either be a guy familiar with Quinn’s defense who can get everyone lined up and in the right coverage to avoid stupid blown coverage TDs or it will be someone better. Patience is key right now. Even at 180 million, we are going to see a lot of good players hit the market this year prior to the draft.
