When have you ever seen a 3 team deal involving 3 QB's in the NFL?

If you are right about Wilson's contract cost, it still makes no sense to trade Dak AND our #10 overall draft pick for a 33 year old QB. THAT'S NUTS! (Not blaming you. Talking about the OP).

I would do that trade in a heartbeat. Wilson has a good 5 years left and he is simple another level above Dak.

WHY are we giving up a 1st? Makes zero sense.

Makes perfect sense:

1) You can argue (and the stats back this up), Wilson is the better QB.
2) Any team acquiring Wilson is getting an elite QB with ridiculously low cap hits for an elite QB the next three years.
3) Seattle has to take a massive dead cap hit to move him, so a team has to make it worth to Seattle to eat that cap hit.
4) Dak isn't under contract long term like Wilson is.

You ain't getting Wilson for Dak straight up if that's what you think is a fair deal.

I've seen you bash Dak endlessly on this forum. Seems like you agree he's much better than middle-of-the-pack #16 or #17 overall QB Carr. We get a potentially elite D-back and a 1st round draft pick for the guy you don't like.

Bash Dak by presenting statistics on why signing Dak to a lucrative extension may not be a good idea????? If that is your idea of bashing Dak then fine but I never said Dak was the #16 or #17 best QB, just not Top 5.

In my trade proposal I recognize Gruden's desperation to win and prove his 10-year deal while also recognizing Dallas' need to start rebuilding while getting back a QB that can help Dallas the next few years until a new young QB is drafted or signed.

Enjoy the day.

Plus, why in the hell would we give up both Dak and our 1st round #10th overall pick?

pretty simple. every unbiased evaluator understands Russ is that much better than not only Dak but every other QB on the planet other than (Mahomes, Rodgers).

I like this trade a LOT. I'm a huge Dak guy. But I'm also an NFL guy and a Cowboys guy, and I believe if Wilson can't win a Super Bowl after getting paid, Dak probably isn't gonna win one here either. (anytime soon at least) So it's better to get Wilson at the tail end of his contract and see what he can do, and then we can decide to sign him again or draft a new QB.

Seahawks are being like the Rams. They're being smart not to fall in love with one guy. Packers fans would rather give up a Super Bowl than to part with Rodgers, and lots of Pittsburgh fans I've spoke to are way too attached to Ben than to give him up, but Seahawks fans might actually be willing to part with Wilson for some draft picks to build up that defense, though I think they're gonna get more than 2 first rounders. They'll probably get one more 1st rounder.

I'm also gonna cheer Dak on in Vegas. It's closer to where I live, and I can be a fan of more than the Cowboys, and I think his best chance to win a Super Bowl is with a rising team like Las Vegas. The Gruden will eventually get it going and I think they're one of those teams set for a monster 2021 year. They could be the Tampa Bay of 2021, and the reason they didn't make the playoffs this year was because Carr hurt down with turnovers and bad play in the last stretch of the year. They'll look to rectify that next year by moving on from him.

I like CBS version of the same trade

False. Any team acquiring Wilson would be paying him 19m,24m, and 27m over the next 3 years because of prorated signing bonus.

I mean as far as value trades go this is probably closer to being actual value but it still has the problem that Dallas is a team that is very devoid of talent due to 3-4 disastrous drafts in a row. They are not in win now mode but if you give up multiple 1s then you basically might as well be.
Prorated bonus money doesn’t go with the trade but stays with the team that already paid that money

Not saying I agree with the trade but looks like a 2022 first round pick, not this year's pick.

That is my entire point. It means that the concept that Wilson has the largest cap hits for the next 3 years is false because 39 million of it is the Seahawks responsibility no matter what.

Wilson had one of the worst 8 game stretches in his career last year. That's after having a true #1 in Metcalf and all while having a top 10 pass blocking o line. A lot of those sacks fall on Wilson, I honestly dont buy into the hype with Wilson.

While I appreciate the suggestion, I personally would just do a straight up trade with the Raiders:

Raiders Receive

QB Dak Prescott

Cowboys Receive

QB Derek Carr
S Jonathan Abram
2021 1st round pick (#17 overall)

Dallas has a more affordable QB that is fully capable of leading the offense while also getting a young FS to partner with Wilson to help the secondary. With their #10 overall pick Dallas could grab CB Caleb Farley and with the Raiders #17 pick they could grab CB Jaycee Horn. They will have completely transformed their secondary tio a much improved level with the starting threesome of cornerbacks being Diggs, Farley, and Horn with Abram and Wilson manning the safety positions.

I actually don’t hate this trade proposal.

A first round pick. A starting safety. While Carr isn’t as good as Dak. You do get him for 2 years at a relatively cheap cap hit. Only about 20 mil a year for the next 2.

Yea this is true if you ignore the flaws in Wilson's game.
