Kirwan suggested something similar this past week. He said Dak would never turn down $100 million guaranteed. And the first year cap hit would be $21 million, leaving room for free agents. The cap will go up big time in the next years, so it would work well for all parties.

Dak is in Dallas for one more year, I hope. He's asking too much. Dallas can make a qualifying offer next year and get a 3rd round comp pick. I'll be good with that as long as he's gone. I like Dak but he's not worth that much. Trade up and draft his replacement this year.

This would be one of the dumbest things a team could do. The Cowboys are not a quarterback away. This makes no sense. What's the goal in 3 years? To be stupid? What are they looking to accomplish?

Just about everyone knows the Cowboys need to use ALL of their drat picks on defense yet you want to WASTE the top couple chasing after some college QB that hasn't played a down in the NFL and is no guarantee to be anywhere as good as Prescott. Stick to Madden football.

Wont matter.. We need to build for the future and take best players available.

It’s not like we’re close to a championship roster.

With the OL fading and all of the other needs there is 0 reason to focus solely on defense.

We need to transition out of mindset that we are close to winning something.. Those days are done and the only thing opening up our Championship window again is a rookie QB contract, an actual elite QB, or Dak playing so long that his contract eventually becomes cheap and we have somehow rebuilt the roster and drafted perfectly in the meantime.

well, that’s exactly what you Dak apologists have been gleefully waiting for, so here it is

welcome to mediocrity for the next 3 years with your hero raking in the big bucks to be a company man
I've always been against paying Dak anywhere close to $40 mil / year, so don't include me in your "you Dak apologists have been gleefully waiting for" rant.

There will be four QB’s likely gone in the top five and Wilson will likely go #2

it would take #10 and a top ten pick in 2022. Probably a third on top of that

All for a guy who may or may not be a good NFL QB

what’s your plan b?

Wilson has done nothing against good competition. Find another name
