Old news.
When the NFL owners voted to put in the 17 game schedule (and the NFLPA complied) back in mid-December ----two and a half months ago --- the blueprint on how to do it was front and center:
The inaugural 17th game would be all NFC teams going on the road to play against the AFC.
Then in the following season the 17th game. would be NFC teams hosting AFC opponents.... and it will alternate every year forward.
At that time the league already determined the NFC-AFC division matchups.

I love the weather, there was a championship game at candlestick that you should check out some time.
That nasty soggy candlestick championship is a very integral part of Cowboy history.

Different era, and totally different ability to build without cap restrictions, was plan b free agency even in effect than,, I have to look at now, thanks a lot ..

I think plan B began in the early 90's..and your correct. Jerry messed up bigtime when he helped create the salary cap era..or "error" .

Think we snagged Jay Novacek off of arizonas roster as a result which did pay big dividends, but for those that dont think Jerry changed this league...,, this league changed because of Jerry.
Jerry changed a decade, and then the league decided to squash him, I dont hate Jerry, I just hate that he is so stubborn and been trying to prove himself again for the past 25.
And handing it off to Stephen isnt going to get it done either,, thats my problem,,, most of you may be OK with that but I dont have enough time to outlast Stephen and then his son...
