Damn. Even the clowns of the NFLPA are calling our front office cheap.....smh.
Yeah, along with those pitiful, unaccomplished Chiefs and Patriots. The NFLPA’s priorities are not about winning; they’re about maximizing player income.

Of course the NFLPA is going to back one of their players!

When push come so shove, that's what they're there for.
They certainly don't exist to cater to the owners! :muttley:

Is "cheap" actually a fair claim? Well, it just depends.

The Owners Association may not think so, though!

Who would you have not signed at the time? I’ll assume Zeke....who else?

You sign guys mostly for what they can do going forward and just use the past as what they are capable of.

Maybe they projected them to be better.. Or.. Players are just looking for a pay day from the Jones’s and once they get it they mail it in because that’s the real Super Bowl around here.

Interesting the other two low spending teams have been/won Super Bowls recently.

Please tell me how you determine or guarantee what a player will do going forward? Considering you can't see the future means you're always taking a shot in the dark or risk. It's no different with Dak. You pay based on what you saw someone do or is capable of, the only way you know what someone is CAPABLE of is by what you've seen them do in the past

There is a million different ways to project..

Injury history, age, attitude, 1 year wonder, ect..

"So in terms of the narrative that they will use the money they could potentially save by not caving into Prescott’s demands on building the team around him, the proof has not been in the pudding. And if they didn’t do all they could do to build the team around Prescott when he was the best bargain in sports what gives you any hope they will use the money for significant outside reinforcements now. Why would Prescott believe that’s going to be case?"

This point right here is why I don't blame Dak for getting as much as he can from the Jones'. He ends up taking less just so they can give 35 mil guaranteed to Xavier Woods lol

I'm asking though what signings made them stupid?

I think we can argue they were stupid for drafting Zeke or any running back as early as they did....but once they traded for Amari and drafted Zeke.....you had to re-sign those guys. I can't call them stupid for the guys they signed because when they signed them they were good players and they looked promising going forward.

You know I'd say that but then I look at the contracts of these players and how they aren't guaranteed......they are going about it foolishly.

Not really fair overall.

They typically over pay for their own.

They just refuse to sign decent free agents from other teams.
And you have guys like Mickey Spagnola always parrot "If he's so good, why's he available?" As if the way the Jones boys have been doing it has been so successful.
