I have come to understand that Dak will not get any credit for any positives, too many have their heals dug in and even winning a SB there will still be some who will spin it as to not credit Dak, right now it is more about peoples own egos around here about feeling they are right
. Dak like any player in the NFL knows you have to cash in when your time comes as a FA this opportunity may never come back around. the 40 mill (if it is that much) in a short period of time will be more or less avg pay just as Rodgers getting 33.5 avg was top money in 2018 is no longer top money. Cap is not going to stand still if Dak takes a low offer today he will be one of the lowest paid within the next 2 to 3 years and only a fool would do that to themselves

You're starting back at the beginning of the argument.

It's like you guys start to figure it out and then you short circuit and convince yourself he is worth this kind of money and it doesn't matter anyways because the cap is rising. Give him whatever he want's because he's a QB that isn't terrible.

That mentality is really working out well for all the teams who have followed it btw.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Cowboys ran into the brick wall known as the divisional round of the playoffs.

If/when Jerry and Stephen actually win something then you'll have a reason to "lol" someone.

Wrong.

I'm laughing at you saying their "best hope" is them having a quarterback on a rookie deal....when in fact they had Romo and Sanchez also under contract and the cap was 155 million.

It had absolutely nothing to do with their success in the playoffs. There's a reason why rookie QB's never win Super Bowls. But ok. Have at it.....

Corrected.

I think you are wrong about him I think he is a good QB who can help this team achieve their goals. If you don't which I know you don't then fine. As there are people with NFL clout who also seem to disagree with you on Dak does not make them right and you wrong but it not some far fetched view either as you like to claim. You have a view nothing more, you are not an expert, you are a fan with a big ego of your own views and that is fine, the message board allows you to have views

What's really sad is the self-delusion of false hope, but apparently you need it to survive.
Having hope is healthy. Being miserably helplessly hopeless is unhealthy both mentally and physically.

I don’t see a lot of good QBs getting paid like they are great going on and winning trophies and if you find them they are an outlier at best.

Since you Dak haters seem to like Jane Slaters take, here’s another one.

a major cave is imminent . Seems jerry told stephen we cannot lose dak etc etc and to overpay because a super bowl is just a dak re-sign away /. How delusional . anyhing more than 30 mil will doom this franchise for 4 years. no SB team has paid more than 13.9% of its cap . Brady being the top paid percentage wise at that 13.9 %, while averageing 10.6% whiule with NE, and other SB teams paying as little as 0.9% (Nick Foles at Philie ) , russel wilson 0.4% with seatle early and joe flacco 6.6%.
Jerry is fighting the tide and reality if he pays him . The defense was pathetic last year.

So if he signs for more than 30 mill will you go away? I mean since it "will doom this franchise for 4 years". Or will you continue to come here and whine like a petulant 12 yr old every day? I think it will be the latter.

He's a great QB and borderline elite with more upside left.

Goff, Wentz, Cousin, Garoppolo just to name a few were paid top money when they hit FA, These guys damn well know FA is for the most part a 1 time deal you make a lousy deal you live with it. If Dak takes 33 avg within 3 years that will be low pay and anyone with an ounce of common sense knows this. The cap does not stand still and play contracts do not stand still. When or if Dak signs his deal there will be yet another crop of QB hitting FA and will be doing the same. Dak is no different

Cowboys management leaking nonsense to the media again so when Dak doesn't sign a LTD they can point the finger. Same with the so-called "Dak wants just below Mahomes $ and wants 'respect.'" Pure bs coming from Cowboys mgmt and not Dak or his agent. Like him or not, that is not how Dak has ever communicated.

Good for Dak? I could care less what's best for him.

He can go get his 40-45 million somewhere else and let that team suffer.
