That's not entirely true for there whole careers though. They are #2 because they haven't lived up to their potential thus far. OJ Howard should be beating out Cameron Brate and Gronkowski at this point in his career. And if Njoku had lived up to his potential they would've never signed Austin Hooper.
Well how about Hooper and Gronkowski is still better. Would they both not start if they were on our team...? Lol let's be real

They would start here as well. How does that prove anything lol? Cowboys would never look to signs those guys because they have Schultz and Jarwin. There is nothing Njoku and Howard do that's siginicatly better than Schultz. They are 1st round picks and they were benched. If people want to look at Pitts that's one thing.......Njoku and Howard represent what we already have.

Was just released by the Vikes. Always have been a fan of his.
his time has come and gone. 330 yards in 2020. 360 in 2019. 600 in 2018.....he is another name from the past. we have schultz who had 600+ yards this year, with Dalton, Dannuci, Gilbert throwing him the ball. we also have Jarwin coming back.....

I pass. we can spend money else where better.

I've come to grips that I think Dalton Schultz is better than we give him credit for. Most probably would disagree because he was a 4th round pick....but he's a better tight end in 2021 then those guys have shown IMO.

At this point those guys are busts and are a prime example of why I don't take tight end in the 1st round.
I was actually hyped up when we drafted him and then got disappointed with what I saw. I'm back on board again, but not really expecting pro-bowls.

And if Sewell, Slater, Farley and Surtain are gone when Dallas is on the clock, I'd seriously consider selecting Pitts if Dallas can't trade down a few spot to select Horn
It seems a lot of people are concerned about Surtain’s speed. If his lack of speed offsets #10 value, I’m definitely not drafting him that high for a move to S. If his 40 time is as bad as some expect, he will drop to second half of round 1.

I'm talking about gronk and Hooper. They would start over our guys as well. So I was saying that particular argument was invalid

Oh naw...I'm not expecting Pro Bowls. He's a nice solid tight end though. Kind of like Rudolph. I'd never spend big money on Rudolph even in his prime.....but he's a solid contributor.

Just looking for this guy to stay out of the division, but even still he's not worth much discussion.

I know what you said I'm saying that isn't what I'm saying. I'm not arguing they aren't better than what we have. They'd start here for sure. But the Cowboys would never look to sign them because they like what they have in Jarwin and Schultz.

Bucaneers went to Cameron Brate before OJ Howard in the playoffs and then Gronk went off in the Super Bowl. Browns went out and signed Hooper to a long term deal knowing they had NJoku.

My point is, if those guys were living up to their potential they would've never even went after those guys.

I don't think you have to worry about that. Giants, Commanders and Eagles are all set at DT....Cowboys are the ones lacking there. Well I guess it depends on what the Giants do with Tomlinson.
