Everyone's cap is so bad.......Dallas bargain bin shopping might net them a few good players. This is probably the best year to bargain bin shop. I don't think teams are equipped to have a lower salary cap and still sign their own guys. A lot of teams are going to push the salary down to later years but even then that can only do so much.
Yep. So what do we see? Players sitting out a year thinking the cap will go back up and wait for more money or take less from an other team this year to play?
I don't know who is available but this feels like an opportunity to finally solve our safety situation for relatively cheap.
We can use our premium picks for more valuable positions like Offensive Tackle and Corner and sign a veteran safety.
What teams are you referencing that have our cap level or more? Because just like the Cowboys...every other team has free agents as well they have to re-sign.There are plenty of teams with our level or more of salary cap space. Only about 8 or so that must dump a bunch of salary. Stephen has shown he won't even make a phone call to some free agents if he thinks their asking price may be high. He is not an all in type in regards to roster management. He is very low risk high rewards type when it comes to free agents. If more quality guys make it to the 3rd wave of free agency he might make a few deals. I hope we capitalize of some talent that becomes available.

Any DT that might unexpectedly become available? I personally feel like that's our biggest need.
Eagles, NO, Rams are all going to have unload players and/or make drastic contract adjustments. I think I heard NO is like 65 million OVER the cap.

jj watt was NOT bargain another stupid owner pauign about twice as much as players actually worth because he has a historical NAME,,so teams will still outbid Jones because they don't go after high risk high paid FAS..dont be fooled watt already set a bad precedent..It's a great year to have cap space. There are going to be some real bargains. Teams with QB's on rookie contracts will clean up.
Who could be the surprise cuts on our end? Teams with money could possibly build something specia if this goes down like they are predicting.
thats 95% not happening would be total shock..There isn't a whole bunch of guys that could be cut to free up money right away.
Tyron Smith could be cut pre june 1st, which would free up 5mil, but then LT becomes an even bigger need.
Chris Jones seems obvious and they can gain 2 mil.
Ant Brown can save 2.75mil, but we also may be left with no depth at corner, and his cap hit is reasonable for his play.
Troll.
Honest question -- If Dallas does end up tagging Dak, when do they actually have to have the $37.7M (or whatever it ends up being) available under the cap?
Yes, that’s my response to talking heads. In case you don’t know, all they care about is clicks from the likes of your type. That’s all. There’s a sliver of truth in some of what they say, but only a sliver and very rarely. Anyone who believes them hook, line and sinker like you are in the words of Bill Parcells, “you’ve been sucked”.That’s your response to a report that is coming from basically all sorts of insiders and media types?
It doesn’t take much brains to realize with a lower cap, teams are going to be making surprising moves to create cap space.
Who do you think is getting cut? That could help our safety position? HonestlyI don't know who is available but this feels like an opportunity to finally solve our safety situation for relatively cheap.
