It's such an interesting question.

I do think a team would pay that. I don't know who but I do think it's possible.

What I don't think is possible is a team to trade two 1's for him and then turn around and pay him. I think Dak get's a similar offer to Wentz. Maybe Dak gets a guaranteed 1 instead of a conditional 1 and a 2nd or 3rd. You just have to pay him too much money to give up picks and cap space for a player who is horrendous value.

I agree. But regardless of what tag they use, they can still negotiate a trade with any team for whatever they want.

I think there would be a bidding war Bears, WFT, Broncos, Panthers, maybe Jets, maybe 49ers, maybe Pats, and maybe a few other teams. I could see as high as 45 mil a year.

Honestly, he would. Washington is apparently after him and need a franchise QB. They have ample cap this season, so a few extra million to get their guy and screw us would be ideal for them.

Yep, now they've cut Smith they are left with about $60m CAP space and dont have a high enough draft pick to get a ready to start QB.

Of all the teams looking for a QB, they are the one that offers a winning/competitive team. That'll make them attractive to Watson, Darnold or at a push Dak.

The real questions that should be asked are, “Can we win with this QB if we improve the defense?” and “Is a better QB option available to us?”

You're looking at it from the wrong perspective. The question is: "if Dak wants a short term contract are we able to draft the quantity and quality of defensive players to challenge in the next 3 years?"

Washington look to be in a perfect position to sign Dak for the (supposed) 3 years he's looking for at top market rate.

yes, he would. teams paid 27M for Bridgewater, to be a "bridge" to the next QB. Colts paid noodle arm Rivers 25M, who had obviously lost anything he might have ever had.....Watson got paid 40M. so yes, there will be a market for Dak with several teams, like
WFT,
SF,
Houston (after they trade watson and get additional picks, get a better QB)
Chicago (they have to get creative)
Denver (they have been drafting and looking for that next franchise QB)
maybe even Miami, whom we are hearing grumblings about Tua...

so yeah, he will 100% have a market.
