What's nuts is Smith just barely turned 30. Would be great to see him play another 5-6 years.
He has the build to play great for as long as he wants to play. Not like the fat guys who lose any and all quickness to move as they get older.

Yeah the thing that gets missed with Tryon is that dude has been playing with that bulging disc in his neck for the last 4 years. And even with the excruciating pain and reduced capacity, strength and range of motion that comes with that thing he was still a top 5 LT in the league when he suited up. I for one am really excited to see what a close to 100% Tyron looks like again. I bet d-ends around the league are hoping the surgery didn't take..

It's all fun and games till you get hit in the face by a 265 lb de. Let's see him do that and survive. Then I'll be convinced.

Are you under the impression this all decade team, 10+ year veteran isn’t aware of what playing entails and isn’t factoring it in? Lol

Talk is cheap. Never seen back issues ever get better or not get worse as time carries on.

weird. It’s literally the point of corrective surgery and I’ve seen it get better and not worse, first hand.

Well I certainly hope that's the case, but only time will tell us for sure. Dallas needs to be ready JIC.

What's the over / under on he'll be sidelined for 11 games?

The O-Line will bounce back this year and with a nice new shiny rookie QB at the helm this team has a chance to go deep this year. Let Dak find his riches under someone else's porch.

Draft defense. Dak's staying.

Everyone is awesome and getting better then ever before this time of year.

Tyron is about done. He's rich and these guys don't play as long as they used to and I think it's because they got so rich early on.

Remember when quality lineman used to play well into their 30's?

Now it's like every position besides QB is looked at like the RB position. After 30 you're damaged goods.

Anyways.. Tyron is about finished. Play him while you got him but he could retire at any time. He deserves to retire and enjoy a healthy life. He's been a warrior for us.

I doubt he makes it to the HOF but he's as good as anyone that's ever played that position in this league.
Ray Donaldson had to have been pushing 40 or in his 40s when he finally called it quits.

I'm not falling for it. Besides, we still need to get Tyron's replacement in place and start grooming him.

That's the thing, if this back and neck issue is fixed (I know, improbable), Tyron is young enough at 29 to be your LT for another 6+ years at an elite level still. So it's worth seeing how it goes now that he's had surgery. And as good as some of those higher end Ts are in this draft, we have a terrible defence in need of reinforcement

We've heard that before from Tyron.
agree. Its been the same statement from him every offseason for the last 3 years at least.lol..what he wants and what his body wants are not one in the same. Dallas better be prudent at left tackle...furthermore, I would be very cautiously optimistic with Collins at RT being 100% ready. I'm concerned about that hip he had repaired and the fact he was woefully out of shape and had a car wreck. He may not be himself week 1.We better get a guy drafted or get someone ready top go. Oh Lord..I bet we see Steele at RT week 1. lol..
