We can agree on how the Cowboys have bungled the signing of free agents and handled contract extensions.

At the end of the day the fundamental point is that Dak Prescott is he worth what he is demanding given that he isn’t all that is needed to secure wins. The answer is a simple no. We can claim that that’s the market, okay why would I reduce my chance at wins in a team sport simply because other teams have driven up the price of one position?

Dak is 100% worth 35 million. Once you get to 40 Million then its getting dumb. But Im glad were drawing a fine line now on how good Dak really is. Instead of arguing with about weather Dak is average or backup material. I guess those arguments have been disproven long ago.

This team has locked everyone up so who are they failing to retain? Quite frankly, who is even worth retaining at this point? I want some of these guys gone who are here long term as it is....

I hear you when you talk about the pie.....my issue isn't Dak's piece of the pie though. The Jaylon, Lawrence and Zeke pieces are more concerning to me because that is money you could actually use to "build around Dak". That money would go further than whatever money you'd save from downgrading from Dak to Dalton.
Uh oh, a non sequitar. Paying Dak huge hinders us from replacing those guys you want gone.

Lamb was a luxury we didn't need.
The sad part is that I love Lamb, dude is simply a player, and we do need more of those. However, we can't just keep using prime draft picks at positions of strength. If we take Pitts at 10, it'll be the same ol' same ol', an O that is almost unstoppable as long as the OLine holds up. And a D that can't stop anyone.

Speaking of the OL, know what McGovern, Connor Williams, and Biadaz all have in common? Injury issues in college. And guess what? Yup, those issues followed them. As they all too often do.
We have now built a complete OL that has injury issues. Tyron and Zack due to age, and Collins due to a mishap.

But you were harping....is that something you really want to be argumentative about though?
Simply mentioning, ONE TIME, a contributing factor to an issue is not in any way shape or form harping. You know this. That is why you're a liar. And, as you like to call others a liar, it makes you a hypocrite too.

Is harping something you really want to lie about?

There's 5 linemen. If you just have one good one out there.....that's not enough to make you go from bad to good.
Who said anything about good? It makes a difference and it did make a difference. Quite a significant one in fact, if you watched the games at all.

All of the injuries and replacements on the line add up. Martin is simply the biggest impact. All of your flailing trying to dismiss this issue into something it's not is not a good look.

I want them replaced through the draft anyway. Why would I want to replace them with free agents the caliber of the players I’m releasing lol?

I’m not like you guys I don’t get offended by words like “hypocrite” or “liar”. It’s your opinion and it holds no weight so why should I care lol?

You are talking in circles. Cowboys offensive line was bad with Martin and without. End of discussion.

Nothing you ever say is reality. You're always spinning and deflecting. You have issues.

I did not talk in circles at all. I made clear fact based points based in reality. You've done nothing but flail, lie, and be a obtuse hypocrite.

1. I pointed out that there was a significant drop off in OL performance after Dak was injured - fact.
2. I pointed out that Dallas played some better defenses after Dak was gone - fact.
3. I pointed out that in several games, Dallas wasn't even using their backup at QB, but their 3rd and 4th string guys who were a late round rookie QB who had no business in an NFL game, and a no name guy picked up in case of an emergency. - fact
4. You started lying and trying to make absurd arguments against comments I didn't make - fact.

Prescott’s an excellent QB IMO....He’s shown improvement every year.....class guy...every thing you want in a franchise QB but he ain’t Even in the same conversation when you start talking about Patric Mahomes & PM money......And it’s really a bad look for Dak and/or his agent to suggest Dak should be paid right under Mahomes....I lose respect for Dak when I hear that nonsense and previous to this I’ve always had a lot of respect for Prescott. His agent Todd France has really hurt Daks image. If France gets him $40 Mil a yr I wonder how that’s gonna affect the locker room when other players get cut & other players get smaller contracts to make room for Daks Mega Contract.

It would take too long through the draft, not possible.

Once again, taking Lamb isn't the problem. It's consistently doing this that has left us weak on D. Jaylon over Jarron Reed, Connor Williams over Justin Reid, it's moves like that which keep us from taking the next step. I love Lamb as a player, but the truth is he didn't make us better.

I know, I know, you'll have your spiel ready trying to refute that fact, but it's true. Personally, I would've traded back if there was one available. However, hey, is Lamb too good to pass up? Sure, OK, but we aren't going to get better until we fix the D. Drafting positions of strength means improvement will be minimal. And our D was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad.

But its the only way it will happen. Sure you could get lucky like the Buccaneers did and get Shaq Barrett for a 4 million dollar deal but the odds are extremely unlikely. You won't find Vita Vea's in free agency on a rookie deal. You just won't. You have to find big time playmakers through the draft in order to sign free agents to compliment them. You can't do one without the other.

Traded back and drafted who though?

Drafting Jaylon and Conner is revisionist history. Those moves are not holding us back. You are going to miss out on players. It happens. No one bats 100%. Drafting Lamb was smart and if they took the approach they did when drafting Lamb they would be in a lot better spot now.

And with as bad as our defense was...there was no one on defense that was going to help us last season. If they had took cornerback at #17 and wide receiver in the 2nd round would that have been better for you?

Correct. Taking that info, then there is no reason to sign Dak to a short term high dollar deal.
