Let us try something different.

With the cap being an issue, at least until a certain players' status is known.
What is everyones take on bringing back Cedric Wilson. As a RFA, per this article, he may cost too much to offer a tender.

And what tender should be given, if any?
They can go 3 different ones.
1st round at $4.7 million, 2nd round at $3.3 million, or right of 1st refusal at $2.1 million.

Could they let him go to FA, maybe get a comp pick, 5th to 7th round. And then look to bring Noah Brown back, for less, since he is a URFA, unless he too gets a better offer.

I think he probably falls in the gotta go category. My guess is this year will be very tough for these marginal players who make more than minimum but don't start and aren't complete beasts on special teams.

hes not marginal. When hes in the line up and Dak is the QB he's really good. Marginal wouldnt be the way I would describe him. Marginal would be a guy like Blake Bell...or Terrence Steele, all our lkinebackers.

Yeah, if you tender him at all you give the 2.1 and they still could release him on cutdowns to 53 if they want. Last year the minimum for 4th year players was $910,000 so a bump up from the minimum of around a million I would assume.

I guess they can still work out a contract, without the tender, before the deadline gets here.

He's been in the league for 2 years and has 22 catches. That is the very definition of marginal.

Seems to be injury prone a bit also. I won't say he is marginal, as when given chances he has flashed. However, his injuries and only the 22 catches, makes one think, is he worth that much.
I think he can help, and is a fit into the offense, if Moore would use him more. But at what price.

I'm with you. Fans go nuts hyping these diamond-in-the-rough finds that they think will turn into another Romo story. Wasn't that long ago that Ryan Switzer was going to make us forget all about one trick pony Cole Beasley. Beasley is now a 2nd Team All-Pro ... for another team. Switzer? Yeah, okay.

2.1 could be used towards a quality linebacker in F.A.

For the production Wilson has given this organization thus far could be replace in the draft.

in a normal cap year, I'd bring him back, not sure how that changes this year.
